About the Role

An exciting opportunity to join the Risk team as an Account Manager (AM) reporting directly to the CDF China Account Management Team Leader. The primary role is to minimize losses whilst maximizing Vendor utilization & Dealer service through effective management of assigned Dealer Portfolio. The AM will work closely with Underwriting, Commercial, Portfolio Control, Field Audit and Operations to ensure the smooth delivery of Risk Controls & Customer Service in accordance with CDF SOPs & Procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Managing a daily workflow (Portfolio Control System) to promptly address delinquencies on customer accounts to ensure CDF remain secure and minimize the need for management interventions.
  • Managing delinquent accounts to ensure CDF remains secure and if necessary up to the point of repossession or other enforcement action.
  • Minimizing losses through early identification of problem accounts.
  • Support Problem loan workout activities as required
  • Collection of Vendor charges to ensure prompt settlement
  • Dealing with rejected invoices, either received manually or through the Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) between CDF and its customers
  • Managing Pending approvals for timely resolution and processing of increased credit line requests
  • Dealing with credit note and customer payment queries to ensure dealer accounts are fully reconciled
  • Focus on providing good external and internal customer service
  • Complaints process to ensure the customer is treated fairly
  • Prompt completion of workflows to ensure compliance and dealer accounts are fully reconciled.
  • Implement and support all Know Your Customer/Anti-Money Laundering control procedures.
  • Support dealer onboarding procedures including legal & regulatory filings & condition fulfillment.
  • Reconciliation of customer submitted collateral reports such as Receivable Ledgers and Inventory reports
  • Escalating issues promptly to line management
  • Following Policy/Procedure/SOPs/Desk Top Manuals to ensure company practice and standards are maintained
  • Identifying/reporting and helping to resolve any Operational Risk issues
  • Help to drive & implement system & process improvements/simplification
  • Perform other Business Projects and tasks set by Risk Management
  • Support Commercial with ad hoc reporting/tasks/meetings as required
  • Prompt completion of all CDF Learning tasks to ensure practice and compliance are current.
  • Various internal reporting


Essential Qualifications

  • Previous roles within Finance/Risk/Customer Service industries would be an advantage.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) programs.
  • Demonstrated effective cash collection skills, with attention to detail.
  • Goes above and beyond to ensure customer satisfaction. Builds strong relationships with customers both internal and external. Communicates proactively and in a timely manner.
  • Seeks simple solutions to complex problems. Able to work autonomously with minimal supervision, can manage multiple priorities. Has the ability to spot process improvements and has a passion to redesign, implement and gain buy in
