Web Application Firewall policy engineer with hands-on experience with either ASM or Imperva firewalls. Knowing both platforms is a plus. Knowledge of networking is a requirement. Experience in an enterprise environment is preferred. The position requires the ability to plan and document changes accurately while working to a schedule. The ability to research and possible through Splunk logging system.

Engineer will be responsible for consulting with project teams, designing, and implementing web application firewall changes supporting lines of business. They will also ensure compliance with corporate security policies and standards. They will need to be capable of forging relationships and interacting with lines of business, application and server administrators, project managers, and vendors.

The engineer will be responsible for assembling data from clients, architecture, vendors, and other sources for new or existing initiatives and designing compliant solutions. They will work with application developers in the network design and deployment of new applications and work closely with the LOB resources and the Information Security Officers to understand and react to business units' security needs.

Engineer is responsible for meeting group and department change goals and ensuring proper change control processes and procedures are being followed. Accurate financial forecasting of time must be provided to project management to ensure overall team financial goals are being met. 2+ years of experience in security applications and systems.

Must have:

2+ years of experience in web application firewall engineering

- Demonstrated ability to interact effectively with a variety of business and technical contacts including mid level managers

- Fundamental knowledge of web application firewalls (ASM and/or Imperva)

- Knowledge of web application security.

- Referenceable communication and documentation experience

- Fundamental knowledge of information security and security principles.

- Fundamental knowledge of information security standards, policies, controls, and regulations.

Desired qualifications:

- Fundamental knowledge of secure engineering best practices

- Splunk experience - coding queries and dashboards

- Industry recognized security certifications.

- Knowledge of regulations required in a financial environment.

- Experience working with cross functional teams
