Your Role and Responsibilities
The Life Sciences Clinical Development Offering Manager will have responsibility for defining, developing, and executing product management needs to bring new offerings to market in the clinical development space. This role will be accountable for leading the overall approach to commercialization of the Life Sciences products that end up being green-lit, defining sales segment targets, identifying growth opportunities, developing novel SaaS pricing models, and driving operational rigor between product, sales, and marketing in order to meet Watson Healths growth goals and strategy. In the short term, the Offering Manager will be responsible for supporting existing clinical development offerings, facilitating successful launches of Protocol Development and eConsent offerings, while incubating the Life Sciences Patient Recruitment solution.
This role will report to the team led by the Vice President of Life Sciences Cognitive Products and will work across the Watson Health organization to drive transformation of the current Go-to-Market operations to a high performing, proactive, product-centric, agile, industry-focused organization delivering scale, value and growth while addressing customer needs. This role will be required to influence matrixed teams across product, sales, and marketing.
This role will focus initially on positioning the current suite of products within the vertical and the opportunity to set the vision for innovating future products and value-propositions to address new channels. Priority markets include US, APAC, and EMEA with global expansion over time. Success will be measured by product sales and revenue generation and market adoption.

Responsibilities:
  • Own, incubate and scale new offerings to build out the Clinical Developmet suite, to include e-Consent and Patient Recruitment
  • Develop and implement an offering go-to-market plan and business plan including an overall business case, market opportunity, pricing, competitive positioning, etc. for existing offerings and net-new offerings
  • Work with product marketing and technical sales to develop the core positioning and messaging
  • Ensure a client centric approach to offerings and solution development
  • Provide direction, advice and intellectual leadership to clients and delivery teams by framing macro problems into action steps or work plans for resolution
  • Define the offering roadmap by specifying market and user requirements for current and future releases
  • Analyze portfolio and outline product life cycle from strategic planning to tactical activities with the aim of identifying pitfalls and creating optimized solutions
  • Develop end-to-end offering business plan; including novel SaaS pricing models and profit



Required Technical and Professional Expertise
  • Commercial pharmaceutical/biotech or health IT experience with an in-depth understanding of the Life Sciences market preferred
  • Strong track record in SaaS product management
  • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders in a highly matrixed organization, with experience including sales, marketing and product development preferred
  • Expertise in forwarding-thinking market analysis and industry SaaS best practices
  • Ability to ruthlessly prioritize, work under pressure/deadlines, and recognize areas of improvement to accomplish tasks effectively and efficiently
  • Excellent people skills: the ability to interact with colleagues, cross-functional teams, third parties, including clients, and senior-level/executive management.
  • 5+ years in a commercial healthcare product setting



Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
  • Commercial pharmaceutical/biotech or health IT experience with an in-depth understanding of the Life Sciences market preferred
