Our client is looking for a Vice President, Information Technology for a permanent opportunity in Dublin, CA.


Job Summary :


The Vice President of Information Technology and Chief Information Officer directs, develops, administers, and coordinates all phases of an organization's computer department, including systems design, programming, installation, and operation. This position collaborates with executive objectives that will support profit and growth strategies. Reviews and evaluates project feasibility studies based on management's requirements and priorities. Keeps current on new developments in information systems technology and provides strategic vision for framework of next-generation systems and alternatives. Manages budgets, contracts and third party vendors or consultants. Keeps abreast of government regulations applicable to systems operations and ensures corporate compliance. Manages several direct reports, often including department heads.


Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities :



  • Direct, develop, administer, and coordinate all phases of an organization's computer department, including systems design, programming, installation, and operation
  • Collaborate with the CEO and Board of Directors, setting the short- and long-term strategic objectives while providing the management necessary to achieve profits, growth, or other goals of the organization
  • Identify and communicate the strategic objectives and determine specific information requirements for management
  • Review and evaluate project feasibility studies based on management's requirements and priorities
  • Work with the CEO and Board of Directors to provide the framework for planning and communication
  • Achieve desired results through the use of budgets, proper contracts, and efficient decision making
  • Implement the installation and operation of information systems and equipment
  • Keep current on new developments in information systems technology, and plan for future upgrades and organizational changes
  • Keep abreast of government regulations applicable to systems operations and ensure corporate compliance
  • Manage several direct reports, often including department heads
  • Establish and direct the strategic long-term goals, policies and procedures for an information technology department
  • Determine an organization's long-term systems needs and any hardware acquisitions needed to accomplish the organization's business objective

Education : Four-year college degree (or equivalent knowledge gained through formal education, specialized training, or additional job experience)


Experience : Ten years of related experience
