The Role

EMEA Generalist Fixed Income Sales. The scope of the responsibilities under this job description will include all the activities listed below conducted within Wells Fargo Bank N.A. and Wells Fargo Securities International Limited.

Financial Conduct Authority Controlled Function (CF30)

  • Covering UK based accounts primarily focusing on building the customer franchise with an emphasis toward our High Grade Credit business and, additively, the High Yield business. Focus is on both Primary and Secondary for HG & HY Credit products. (Not ABS or CDOs)
  • Main product focus is EMEA, US, and APAC. Clients all UK Region.
  • Working with our Global Credit Products platform to maximize team revenue.
  • Communicating with U.S. & EMEA based trading and product groups regarding opportunities to source and/or place product in the UK.
  • Coordination and participation in client presentations and conferences as well as initiate direct ongoing dialogue between the customer base and traders, research and DCM/ syndicate.
  • Co-operate with other divisions of the bank; Corporate Finance, Correspondence Banking, GFI etc.
  • Work in a spirit of transparency, teamwork and high ethical standard.

Wells Fargo team members in the UK who deal with UK based customers in the context of;

  • advising on investments
  • dealing in investments
  • arranging deals in investments; and/or
  • managing investments

All of these being done in the best interest of the customer.

Must be approved by the Financial Conduct Authority (the "FCA") to hold a CF30 function i.e. the team member must become a CF30 approved person.

To qualify as a CF30 approved person, a team member must be able to demonstrate to the FCA, on a continuous basis, that he/she is fit and proper to perform such a controlled function. In particular, a team member must
demonstrate that he/she has the following attributes:

  • honesty, integrity and reputation;
  • competence and capability; and
  • Financial soundness.

As a CF30 approved person, a team member must at all times adhere to the following FCA Statements of Principles
for Approved Persons:

  • act with integrity in carrying out his/her responsibilities;
  • act with due skill, care and diligence in carrying out his/her responsibilities, observe proper standards of market conduct in carrying out his/ her responsibilities; and deal with the FCA and other regulators in an open and cooperative way, and disclose appropriately any information of which the FCA would reasonably expect notice.
