Our client is seeking a strong UI Designer II for a 6 month contract to hire position in Houston, TX!

You will be responsible for transforming UX prototypes into high-fidelity design deliverable that are visually engaging, well-crafted and easy to understand. They accomplish this by utilizing their skills in typography, hierarchy, color, space and interaction design. You will drive product innovation by developing a wide range of creative ideas and designs while focusing on user-centered design principles to produce beautiful and accessible user interfaces. You should have a very strong understanding and knowledge of front end languages such as HTML, CSS and JavaScript. You will also contribute to and have ownership over the company's design system that contains a breakdown of all of the components, design assets, design specifications and code. You must be able to design solutions that scale and have the ability to maintain consistency in the design and overall experience for clients product portfolio.

Requirements:

• Strong visual and interaction design skills
• Ability to write front end development languages: HTML, CSS - Equally enjoys both UI Design and UI Development
• Experience working within brand guidelines or product style guides
• At least 3 years of work experience on a design team applying user-centered design thinking
• Strong presentation, written and verbal communication skills
• Strong in designing in applications such as Sketch, Adobe Photoshop or simliar
• Designing for B2B enterprise software is a plus
• Designing mobile experiences is a plus
• Working with component libraries and design systems a plus

Responsibilities:

• Work closely with UX Design from conceptualizing ideas on a whiteboard, providing feedback for prototypes and translate them into compelling, easy to use user interfaces
• Work closely with UI Development, collaborating regularly to ensure that what they build reflects UX/UI deliverables and is optimized for end users
• Collaborate and integrate contributions from UX Researchers
• Ensure consistency of components across PROS product portfolio; is able to work across disciplines with UX Designers and UI Developers to ensure aesthetics are aligned with usability, accessibility, and industry standards
