We are looking for an experienced sales consultant position that is responsible for the development and retention of Treasury Management business for an assigned customer base, geographic area, market segment or series of product lines. This position will primarily support TM opportunities linked to Eastern Canada

Working independently but closely with other Treasury Management (TM) and Line of Business partners, the Treasury Management Sales Consultant (TMSC) will be responsible for creating value through TM solutions connected to Canada by meeting annual sales/pipeline goals and corresponding sales activity including: developing sales plans, executing regular calling programs, providing TM insights and analyzing customer and market needs. The individual will develop and execute a market plan for clients/prospects by opportunity and identifying areas where the bank can differentiate itself from existing providers. Must effectively manage team, internal/bank, and external partner relationships and provide consistent feedback.

This individual must be willing to work in a fast-paced dynamic environment, be very organized, be a team player, and help develop knowledge of cross-border treasury management products, industry trends, pricing strategies, tools and sales process to be effective. The role requires the TMSC to be a strategic thinker who excels at consultative selling. Comfortable sharing knowledge and market experience with peers, less experienced team members, and is a participant in TM initiatives.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for having a understanding of Canadian and US treasury management products and being able to leverage it to provide meaningful insight to both customers and partners
  • Execute the sale of Wells Fargos Canadian TM solutions to Canadian headquartered customers and partner with US TM colleagues to execute and close Canadian TM opportunities within Wells Fargos US customer base
  • Partner with Wells Fargo US TM Team Members to increase share of wallet with Canadian headquartered customers by selling the banks US TM solution set
  • Will have to be able to be successful at building relationships with a large number of internal partners to understand how treasury management products can be valuable to their business and clients
  • A hunger to create opportunities and not be dependent on warm leads / opportunities
  • Conduct customer centric reviews such as working capital analyses and Business Process Reviews to drive meaningful insights that lead to action
  • Effectively manage a diverse set of client types. Including but not limited to: large corporate, middle market, head offices and subsidiaries
  • Be able to gather information from multiple sources and take complex processes or information and deliver a clear and concise view to customers and partners
  • Identify and participate in internal and external events that will increase awareness and adoption of Wells Fargos TM solutions
  • This is an evolving business so an ability to adapt well as the role and business evolves is important
  • Will be able to develop relationships and opportunities via phone, teleconference and in person
  • Occasional travel within Eastern Canada and United States
