Responsibilities

The Transition Manager is responsible for the planning and delivery for the transition of the program from the incumbent. You will be directly responsible for the successful transition of all of the work, employees, management, and services from the current contract to the new task order. The Transition Manager will lead a team responsible for the transition of work. The team will be responsible for the efficient transition of technical and programmatic support functions, the successful transition of governance processes, and delivering outcomes that result in the government achieving a successful contract transition. Activitieswill include:Manage and integrate transition activities in accordance with contract requirements and ensure technical, schedule, cost, and financial performance. Manage transition risk, customer relationships, and transition staffing. This position is primarily responsible for the planning, directing, and coordinating a cross-functional team's activities to manage and implement transition activities.

Specific responsibilitiesinclude:

  • Develop, execute, and monitors plans to include costs, staffing requirements, sub-contractors, resources and risk.
  • Plan, schedule, monitor, and report on activities related to the project/program.
  • Ensure adherence to requirements and client's long-term goals.
  • Facilitatestatus review meetings between management, stakeholders, and the sponsor.
  • Establish appropriate metrics for measuring key transition activities.
  • Facilitates the creation of communication plans, ensuring that appropriate information is exchanged among key stakeholders.
  • Advise senior management on transition activities and risk.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  1. A minimum of TS/SCI security clearance
  2. Bachelor's w/ 10-12 yrs. experience, Master's w/ 8-10 yrs. experience, Or related equivalent experience w/o a degree.
  3. Proficient with Microsoft Office suite of tools.

Desired Qualifications:

  1. STEM Masters degree (e.g., computer science, management information systems, systems engineering).
  2. Certification as Project Management Institute (PMP), or Planning and Scheduling Professional (PSP).
  3. Knowledge of Agile systems implementation methodologies.
