EIT leadership is bringing together a new organization, Vulnerability & Patching Operations, which will provide a consistent approach to remediation processes, reporting, and central operational support functions for enterprise level aspects of vulnerability and patch management, including vulnerability/patch event management, process improvement, and governance escalation.

This new team being built will include a number of managers to oversee the Vulnerability Central operations, process data analysis, trending and optimization, and process support functions within Vulnerability & Patching Operations.

Vulnerability Operations Process Support leader

The Vulnerability Operations Process Support leader oversees a team that drives the vulnerable product identification process and provides operational support for the QVR Utility and other vulnerability management solutions as they are developed and implemented. These functions provide data and information vital to the effectiveness and efficiency of the Vulnerability Central Operations team. Product identification requires determination of primary and secondary products aligned to each vulnerable instance found within Wells Fargos environment and involves researching national vulnerability references, vendor websites, and Wells Fargos Technology Standards Center.

Key to this role is the establishment of strong relationships with the vulnerability remediation process stakeholder leadership, including Competency Center, platform technology groups, Enterprise Availability Coordination Office, Enterprise Infrastructure Technology, product/asset owners and others. Acts as a key partner to the Vulnerability Central Operations leader by effectively and efficiently associating the appropriate vulnerable products with identified vulnerabilities. Partners with technology development teams and Project Management to influence workflow and automation tooling strategy and requirements necessary to support the vulnerable product identification process.

Required Qualifications

  • 10+ years of technology experience
  • 3+ years of leadership or management experience, in an IT environment
  • 2+ years of budget management experience

  • Knowledge and understanding of Wells Fargo risk platforms, such as Security Planning & Assessment of Risks/Controls (SPARC), Configuration Management Database (CMDB), Information Services Application Inventory (ISAI), Vendor Management System of Record (VSMOR), Third Party Information Management Systems (TRIMS), Control Review Assessment System Plus (CRAS+), or Centralized Issue and Corrective Action Tracking (CICAT)
  • Knowledge and understanding of diverse platforms and operating systems, including current and emerging technologies
  • Exposure to Wells Fargo's Remedy Asset Management (PAC2000) application
  • Knowledge and understanding of asset management function support
  • Ability to identify and manage complex issues and negotiate solutions within a geographically dispersed organization
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Access, and Project) skills

Other Desired Qualifications
  • While experience with vulnerability remediation and patching processes would be helpful and desirable, experience with other remediation and risk management disciplines will be considered.
  • Knowledge of Technology Infrastructure distributed platforms, compute platforms
  • Knowledge of application build and release processes
  • Knowledge of .Net, Java, software lifecycle release tools (UDeploy, Subversion, Github), workflow tools, Remedy, or other experience in application support
  • Knowledge of infrastructure and/or application support and maintenance processes not limited to EACO, DMAN/AMCT, enhanced monitoring solutions, etc.
  • Ability to create technology, process, or operational solutions based on business requirements
  • Ability to manage and balance risk while making sound decisions in high pressure situations
  • Ability to think strategically and lead teams to achieve enterprise goals

Job Expectations

  • Ability to travel up to 10% of the time
