Test Automation Engineer


Responsibilities



  • Responsible for the peer training/mentoring/coaching resources and development for automated testing practices
  • Provide feedback on quality of deliverables, escalate issues and contribute to project/program test strategies/plans
  • Accountable for driving the development of production work load models, overseeing test environments requirements and solutions scaled to run 'close to prod' performance tests
  • Accountable for ensuring security tests are performed and issues are resolved
  • Responsible for reviewing non-functional requirements and development activities to ensure full understanding of the scope of work and optimal ways to validate solutions
  • Responsible for creating and maximizing automation for all project non-functional deliverables including repeatable Account Conditioning, Regression and Targeted testing
  • Responsible for developing and implementing a defined QE processes and tools usage and intent
  • Responsible for developing and implementing agreed upon processes for test results storage, defect tracking and defect verification and supporting project metrics tracking
  • Partner across IT and with assigned business lines to test new or existing software in order to ensure non-functional requirements are met.


Qualifications



  • Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related technical degree
  • Experience working with Software Delivery Methodologies, Frameworks and Best Practices (Agile and Iterative Waterfall) and DevOps Operations/Integration
  • Prior experience in QA/test Environment with a focus on technical, automated testing in a variety of environments (distributed, cloud and mainframe, business workflows and services/APIs, databases)
  • Must have experience with automation testing REST and SOAP services (SOAPUI, Jenkins and Postman/Newman)
  • Hands-on experience in/with:



    • Performance Testing Tools for Mobile Ready Devices and Cross Browser, Service & Network Virtualization, True Client Protocols, Environment Mapping, Test Case Design/Analysis (component/service, Integration, End To End/User Scenarios, Security Testing)
    • Developing production work load models and coordinate test environments scaled to run 'close to production' performance tests
    • Analysis of Non-functional requirements from performance and security perspective for agile and non-agile projects
    • Analyzing complex business ecosystems to understand business logic and processes, including data attributes and data business rules

  • Excellent communication skills and complex technical problem-solving skills


Preferred Qualifications



  • ISTQB Certification
  • Experience reviewing artefacts including code reviews (application and test automation scripts)
  • Experience with non-functional testing (performance, UI/UX, Accessibility, etc.)
