Enterprise Database Management (EDM) Teradata Engineering, Infrastructure and Operations (TDEIO) has an opening for a Database Analyst 5. This is an excellent opportunity for someone to participate in the operational support of one of the largest Teradata analytics and database implementations in the world. This DBA5 will be responsible for operational support activities concerning the Teradata Infrastructure. This DBA will fulfill the role of technical lead on large migration and technology refresh projects. Additional responsibilities including but not limited to:
o Day-to-day maintenance and operations
o Break/fix
o Collaboration with our off-shore team members/partners
o Collaboration with our Teradata (vendor) support personnel
o Participate in technology refresh activities
o Scheduled on-call support and other duties
o Compliance and Vulnerability remediation activities

Support and administration of the complete Teradata ecosystem:
o UNIX operating system
o DBMS servers
o BAR (NetBackup and DSA)
o ViewPoint
o QueryGrid
o Data Mover
o Unity
o Security tools such as BoKS, Guardium, Qualys, Tanium

Required Qualifications

7+ years of database design and administration experience5+ years of Teradata experience

Desired Qualifications

Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracyExcellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills7+ years of UNIX experienceKnowledge and understanding of technical application development Knowledge and understanding of technology project management

Other Desired Qualifications

3 years experience with UNIX/Linux security with shell scripting (bash or ksh).
Working knowledge of incident and problem management
Experience with database migrations, for both hardware refreshes and environment upgrades.
Advanced experience with O/S-level UNIX scripting
Knowledge of network fabrics and storage systems
System troubleshooting and tuning
Knowledge of disaster recovery processes and methodologies
Ability to work with very technical teammates
