Through a framework that addresses policy, process, operations, people, and technology, EIS protects Wells Fargos infrastructure, corporate data, and customer assets, and ensures alignment with applicable regulations and laws. EIS is part of Wells Fargo's Corporate Risk organization and is led by the Chief Information Security Officer.

Note: The preferred work location is Charlotte, NC but other core Wells Fargo locations will be considered.

Role will be responsible for performing various information security assessments, communicating to the line of business on the inherent risks, and providing threat-based context to the vulnerability management program at Wells Fargo & Co.

Job responsibilities include staying abreast of security vulnerabilities within networking devices, appliance products, operating systems, cloud services, and other technologies. The role will be asked to conduct and participate in security assessments that are focused on understanding and reducing the exposure of vulnerabilities within the Wells Fargo operating environment. This position reports into the Cyber Threat Management Team and works closely with teams in other internal information security programs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with our enterprise information technology teams to direct their vulnerability and threat intelligence request queue to the appropriate escalation point for resolution, research and/or troubleshooting.
  • Work closely with the vulnerability assessment team leveraging distributed vulnerability scanning tools on Enterprise computing assets.
  • Work closely with the Wells Fargo penetration testing team and red-team to understand vulnerabilities that are being uncovered and develop proof of concept exploits for new vulnerabilities.
  • Work closely with the Cyber Threat Intelligence team specifically in the vulnerability management space. As vulnerabilities are uncovered, using the Cyber Threat Intelligence team threat-based assessment method for determining high-risk vulnerabilities that are relevant to Wells Fargo.
  • Working with the Cyber Security Innovation team to guide development of vulnerability management tools for the CTM
  • Working with 3rd party vendors and 3rd party legal entities to improve their security posture as it pertains to vulnerability management.
  • Testing of existing security controls.
  • Conduct logical security audits and hands-on technical security evaluations and implementations as needed.

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of technology delivery and relationship management experience with a client organization
  • 5+ years of information security experience
  • 5+ years of Information Security reporting and analysis experience
  • 2+ years of process definition and documentation experience
  • 2+ years of process design or improvement experience

Desired Qualifications

  • Relationship management experience delivering technology services between one or more internal technology organizations and medium-sized internal lines of business
  • 5+ years of vendor management experience
  • Knowledge and understanding of vulnerability scanning and reporting
  • Knowledge and understanding of vulnerability management systems
  • Ability to manage security vendors and other third parties that perform vulnerability and penetration assessments
  • Systems vulnerability management experience
  • Knowledge and understanding of banking or financial services industry
  • Ability to discuss information security risks at a detailed technical level
  • Knowledge and understanding of information security policies and control standards governing network security products/tools
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, achieve goals, and work under pressure in a dynamic and complex environment
  • Ability to execute in a fast paced, high demand, environment while balancing multiple priorities
  • Ability to interact with integrity and a high level of professionalism with all levels of team members and management

Other Desired Qualifications
  • 5+ years experience in technical engineering across multiple core technologies (OS, Application, Database, Virtual/Cloud, etc).
  • 5+ years in a vulnerability management role (this does not mean leadership role) and experience working with vulnerability scanning and detection products (i.e. Qualys, Nessus or Nexpose).
  • A demonstrated understanding of hacking tools and techniques.
  • Demonstrated networking or network management background.
  • Experience creating reports and communicating the results to a technical leadership audience.
  • Demonstrated expertise with Unix and/or Linux systems.
  • Demonstrated expertise with Windows OS.
  • Cyber Threat Intelligence background.
  • Ability to view problems with a systematic and logical approach which leads to resolution.
  • Experience working with regulatory organizations
