Job Description

    Program Management Office Center of Excellence (PMO COE) Overview:

    The PMO COE drives standardization, scalability and consistency across Enterprise Information Technology (EIT) within project and program management services and functions. We provide best in class portfolio management and project execution on behalf of our business and technology partners. With focus on our partners, team members and execution excellence, we are comprised of three different groups:

  • GPMO:
  • With the ability to analyze both broadly across the portfolios and deeper into specific portfolios, our PMO leaders work with the CIOs and service domain leaders to ensure investments are effectively managed and in alignment with our vision.

  • PPO PMO:
  • Delivers portfolio and project management resource staffing in support of the GPMO project portfolio execution, delivering technology project management services across Wells Fargo. Maximizing value for Wells Fargo stakeholders through global capabilities for program management, project management and project coordinator services.

  • Process, Tools and Governance:
  • Ensures that well-informed, prepared and motivated project managers can effectively lead technology projects, while leveraging standard processes and tools to accelerate project value delivery across the enterprise.

    The position will support the Wholesale Banking Technology PMO. The daily responsibilities are:

  • Responsible for leading project teams and managing activities associated with projects that are long term, company-wide (crossing multiple organizational entities) and significant in risk, scope and complexity
  • Responsible for end-to-end project management, demonstrating ownership of the entire process from beginning to end
  • Consults with business partners to clarify and define complex project requirements and business cases, including statements of work and understanding the interdependencies of the applications within the portfolio
  • Develops and revises project plans and budgets, while maintaining a +/- 2% financial variance
  • Responsible for understanding problems, bringing issues to resolution, and escalating as necessary to meet timelines
  • Interacts and negotiates with senior and/or executive management on a regular basis
  • Creates and implements complex communication plans
  • Creates and delivers presentations on project goals and plans, including progress reports
  • Required Qualifications

    7+ years of project management experience2+ years of Governance and Compliance experience3+ years of relationship management experience with business and technology partners2+ years of experience managing and reporting on project financials7+ years of experience managing project scope, schedule and cost4+ years of experience identifying, documenting, escalating and resolving issues1+ years of experience managing stakeholders3+ years of risk identification and documentation experience1+ years of experience leading matrixed resources2+ years of experience leading multiple workstreams, applications, or deliverables

  • Experience leading regulatory/compliance related projects
  • Experience in formal project methodology; including creation of business case, identification of system inter dependencies, and effective facilitation of conceptual design and solution discussions.
