The Wells Fargo Treasury &MerchantX-Channel (TMX) is a single layer for PVSI focused on service virtualization and providing customized virtual payment solutions through some of the most innovative solutions on the market.

The Treasury &MerchantX-Channel is seeking a senior technical hands on Technology Manager whose primary responsibility will be to provide technical direction for the development, design, and integration for client engagement from definition phase through implementation. The candidate will work with business and internal technology partners to clarify and define technology concepts, requirements, design alternatives, project schedules, and costs for initiatives. Mentor and guide less experience developers.

TMX Channel Solution Development and Delivery Lead Responsibilities

  • Building and managing an API development team
  • Responsible for software development and code quality
  • Managing relationship with geographically dispersed API channel business.
  • Managing relationship withOff-Shore development teams
  • Maintaining consistent and regular contact with all levels of management within Technology and the supported business units.
  • Conducting research and analysis of competitive market environment for innovative business products and services, regulatory/compliance issues, and implications of new implementations
  • Keeps development team well informed of changes within the organization and general corporate news.
  • Vast experience with various software development processes (SDLC, Agile, Scrum etc.) within a large enterprise environment
  • Applies significant knowledge of industry trends and developments to improve service to our clients
  • Responsible for managing all development phases from conception to integration
  • Ensuring integration support teams are trained appropriately.
  • Liaising with the wholesale and enterprise build and release teams.

Required Qualifications

  • 10+ years of technology experience
  • 3+ years of leadership or management experience, in an IT environment

  • Ability to interact with all levels of an organization

Other Desired Qualifications
  • Management experience including multiple application development efforts within a medium to large size line of business
  • 5+ years experience leading and building high performing application development teams in high volume or critical production service environment
  • Proven ability to communicate with business and technical groups easily, ability to communicate with various levels of management
  • 10+ years experience providing Application and/or Systems Management of Java/J2EE systems with a concentrated focus on REST/SOAP based services
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills: demonstrated proficiency of identifying risks, proposing and implementing controls.
  • Must be able to articulate complex concepts and be able to tailor the message to different audiences including senior leadership, technical teams, operations and line of business partners.
  • Excellent relationship and partnership skills, ability to work closely and influence decision making with partners.
  • Detailed knowledge of HTTP REST concepts, JSON, JSON Schema, the Swagger JSON REST specification, the HTTP protocol and status codes.
  • Modern SDLC concepts and tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Git/GitHub, Artifactory
  • Experience with modern software development processes (Agile, Scrum etc.) within a large enterpriseenvironment
  • Enterprise Service Bus products, especially Oracle ESB/OSB
  • Modern Electronic Payment types (Zelle, Apple Pay, Android Pay, Venmo, Square, PayPal etc.)
  • Knoweldge of PCI-DSS standards and compliance
  • 10+ years of overall experience working in a mainframe technology environment.
  • Experience in designing, developing, and successful deployment of large scale projects from end-to-end.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications, strong analytical and problem solving skills.
  • 5+ years of experience on mainframe COBOL, DB2, SQL, and JCL.
  • 1+ year of experience with Stored Procedure development.
  • Ability to interface effectively with all levels and across organizational lines.
  • Ability to manage numerous projects simultaneously and lead a team of knowledged developers.
  • Various performance analysis and tuning techniques.
  • Proof of being a highly motivated self-starter who solves problems with a business cenric view.
  • Exposure to Wells Fargo PAC2000 -WF's ticketing system based on Remedy application
  • Experience with CICS and eclipse
  • Knowledge and Technical understanding of Mainframe and many interface technologies (MQ, JDBC, NDM).
  • Undergraduate degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
  • Experience in financial industry
  • Experience with Wholesale Treasury Management business lines
  • Detailed knowledge of modern Java/EE development principles and technologies
  • Modern build and dependency management tools
  • Modern Linux Web technologies, NodeJS, Tomcat, Apache
