Wells Fargo Enterprise Systems Quality Assurance (ESQA) Testing Center of Excellence is accountable for Systems Quality Assurance strategies, standards, execution and governance driving a quality culture across the company. The WIM (Wealth and Investment Management) Test Domain provides testing services for all phases of testing supporting Wealth, Brokerage, Retirement, Trust and Asset Management applications.

The WIM SQA team is looking for an Integrated Functional Test (IFT) Manager to support Asset Management (Funds Management Group) to set the strategic direction for the testing team. The IFT Manager is responsible for a team of testing professionals comprised of Wells Fargo team members, domestic and onshore/offshore contractors. Team members are located in geographically dispersed locations. Primary duties and core areas of responsibilities include:

  • Test Process Management project, process and resource test management including guiding the allocation of resources across geographies, types, and skillsets, based on business priorities (5 technology managers, 33 team members, 25-50 onshore/offshore contractors)
  • Strategic Planning / Risk Mitigation - sets the strategic direction for system testing, automation and performance testing services and responsible for metrics review/analysis and relationship management with technology leaders (architecture, technical business analysts, development, environment, infrastructure) throughout Retirement Technology
  • UAT Relationship Management collaborates with line of business leadership and business test teams to help identify, track and improve testing quality
  • HR / Vendor Management - mentors and develops team members while promoting an environment that supports Retirement Technologys goals and objectives. Negotiating, hiring and on-boarding augmented staff (contractors) to meet incremental project objectives
  • Financial Control prepares system testing cost estimates for future projects and manages monthly expenses to forecast

Additional job responsibilities include:

  • Vendor management, as appropriate
  • Provides expertise to ensure test processes meet SDLC/TPM/ETM requirements through participation in quality reviews
  • Ensures all test deliverables are complete and maintained appropriately in testing repository
  • Monitors, analyzes and reports data/trends based on monthly technology and testing metrics

This role interacts frequently with direct reports, technology leadership, business customers, product owners, application and technical scrum team members and senior management.

Required Qualifications

  • 7+ years of technology experience
  • 2+ years of leadership or management experience, in a technology environment

Desired Qualifications

  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to interact with all levels of an organization

Other Desired Qualifications
  • Experience with end-to-end testing of multiple applications
  • Experience delivering, evaluating, or testing large technology efforts
  • 1+ year of testing or quality assurance experience
  • Knowledge and understanding of technology testing: creation of: FSDs, test scripts, test plans, and test execution
  • Knowledge and understanding of technology testing: end user applications or technology products
  • 3+ years of HP ALM experience
  • A BS/BA degree or higher
  • Knowledge and understanding of project management methodologies: used in waterfall or Agile development projects
  • Knowledge of Asset Management industry and/or related financial industry knowledge

Job Expectations

  • Ability to travel up to 10% of the time
