Responsible for managing a medium sized team of QA managers, leads and analysts who are responsible for testing internally and externally developed applications that support the loan modification process for Wells Fargo customers. Team members are geographically disbursed in the US and in India.

Experience in working with external vendors is required. The applications that are supported by the team are complex in nature as they perform mathematical calculations based on a large variation and number of regulatory or investor requirements for modifying an existing customer loan. This is a fast-paced environment that requires the ability to execute in short time frames, change in priorities, and ability to provide creative and effective problem solving. Experience with complex staffing/demand management, and environment/code planning/management that impact downstream teams is required. Effective relationship building and building/maintaining business and technical knowledge with operational managers and technology peers are key for success. Ensuring that knowledge relating to regulatory/investor changes is communicated and documented for the team is a recurring activity. Significant focus will be automation of the QA testing and smoke testing of the supported applications. Ability to manage through ambiguity, lead through problems, accountability and leading as a change agent is part of the DNA of this team. Training/supporting lower level managers and leads on the team for daily execution and creative/forward thinking to increase automation and reduce manual effort will be key success criteria for the identified candidate.

Required Qualifications

  • 7+ years of technology experience
  • 2+ years of leadership or management experience, in a technology environment
  • 5 + years of automation or regression testing experience

Desired Qualifications

  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to interact with all levels of an organization
  • 7 + years of experience with System Integration Testing (SIT)
  • Knowledge and understanding of technology testing: web-based applications developed in Java or .net framework

Job Expectations

  • Ability to work weekends and holidays as needed or scheduled
  • Ability to travel up to 5% of the time
