This position is responsible for producing and editing technical manuals, reports, technical curriculum, presentations, brochures, and process documentation for internal reference, customer reference and web publication.


Duties include updating existing standard operating procedures for internal and external customer interface, development of technical curriculum for new hire and continuing education, updating reference manuals and engineering diagrams, etc. Gather process information and verify knowledge of subject by interviewing subject matter experts. Prepare written text and coordinate layout with related documents for seamless integration. You must ensure successful on-time completion of assigned projects.


A successful candidate will be able to work well with documentation, operations personnel, and technical groups in developing deliverables. The ideal candidate must also have excellent investigative and problem-solving skills.

  • Compiles data and writes or revises text for informative, instructional, or promotional use, user documentation, newsletters, electronic database publications, media guides, or similar materials of a technical nature
  • Updates the NOC wiki , as needed, with necessary changes based on the current standard operating procedure
  • Applies application knowledge to update user manuals
  • Researches topics, including gathering and sorting source and background materials; consults with various personnel to clarify details of source materials; provides statistical analysis of data as required
  • Follows and enforces writing standards and conventions in all documentation
  • Assists with the development, editing and production of any process-related user guides, as requested
  • Coordinates projects in order to standardize branding, such as maintaining an online documentation database, publishing internal and external newsletters, creating new hire documentation, job descriptions, agendas, etc
  • Coordinates production and distribution of materials
  • Provides editing assistance and revises existing documentation, as needed
  • Reviews documentation for an entire project to ensure validity, completeness of content, and consistency with order, style, terminology, and branding standards
  • The selected candidate must also have excellent investigative and problem-solving skills
  • Bachelors Degree required
  • 3-5 years of experience in creating customer-focused operational process documentation
  • Ability to assess documentation needs and create content from technical specifications
  • Expertise in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and PageMaker
  • Knowledge of Front Page
  • Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite
  • Ability to multi-task and work with constantly changing applications
  • Ability to manage multiple projects
  • Knowledge of current technological developments/trends in area of expertise
  • Skill in developing design and layout of materials to be published
  • Skill in the use of personal computers and related software applications
  • Ability to work in a fast paced and growing environment
  • Provide superior quality when regarding attention to detail
  • Experience with web-based applications
  • Ability to understand business requirements and relate them to application process flows
