Randstad Technologies is seeking a Technical Support Specialist with experience supporting Windows environments, both desktop and server. This is a contract to hire position with a key client in the Raleigh/Durham area; the client offers a fast paced work environment, competitive salaries and a comprehensive benefit package.


Our client is looking for driven, enthusiastic self-starter who has strong attention to detail and excels at managing multiple tasks and projects simultaneously. The right candidate will be a strong technician with an entrepreneurial attitude. He or she should be customer service oriented but uncompromising on security issues with a strong focus on building sound processes across the organization's infrastructure that provide a stable and secure technology environment.

The System Administrator is responsible for providing technical expertise and architectural solutions in infrastructure, hardware, desktop software, servers, phones, printers and network areas. The candidate must be self-confident and open to feedback.


Provide technical support to end users through phone calls and emails

Respond to User Calls/emails in a timely manner and provide resolution

Build and execute Infrastructure integration plans to support new business acquisitions

Manage Windows Servers installations, upgrades and patching

Monitor and Manage alerts, and notifications and respond accordingly through service tickets

Timely delivery of assigned tasks

Manage, configure and troubleshoot network devices

Work closely with counterparts in India and in remote sites in the US

Manage user accounts and provide approved user access

Maintain inventory of desktops and phones

Manage Active Directory

Manages Exchange Servers or Outlook 365 and email processes

Manage VOIP telephony environment

Setup Windows and Mac Computers for personnel and debug issues

Wireless setup, configuration, management for office environment

Provide support for our Network printers

Setup and manage office security system which locks and authorizes access to doors

Manage building security cameras

Resolve any issues that cause outages that impact business performance in a timely manner

Work closely with our helpdesk services to ensure proper levels of support and interaction

Collaborate closely with our India Business Solutions Company to execute on strategic infrastructure projects and to maximize return on global resources

Helps troubleshoot all areas of infrastructure

Provide on-site support for group operations

Collaborate with remote Global Bankers locations in ensuring that Operations personnel have access to the technology needed to support the customers of Global Bankers


Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's/College Degree , Post Graduate Diploma / Master's

Degree, Computer Science/Information Technology, Engineering (Computer/Telecommunication) or equivalent.

5 years of experience in a similar role.

Ability to diagnose issues with Outlook, Internet, PST

Understanding of support tools, techniques and how technology is used to provide IT services

Ability to communicate on the phone with remote clients and vendors from geographically dispersed areas.

Knowledge of and experience configuring and installing windows desktop applications

Basic knowledge of Active Directory, DNS, and DHCP

Understanding of Operating Systems, business applications, printing systems, and network systems

Experience in configuring and troubleshooting printers and scanners

Self-motivated with the ability to work in an extremely fast-paced environment

Ability to multi-task and adapt to changes quickly

Prior experience in Helpdesk/NOC

Innovative mindset, quick learner

Good customer handling skills

At least 3 year(s) of working experience supporting a company's infrastructure at a high level of performance

Excellent communication skills

Strong troubleshooting skills

Ability to interact effectively in a multi-functional, diverse work environment

Experience in a highly regulated insurance industry a plus

10% - 20% travel.
