Your Role and Responsibilities
The IBM Germany Research & Development GmbH is one of the biggest European laboratories in the global network of worldwide IBM product development. The IBM Safer Payments team develops and distributes innovative real-time systems for fraud detection in electronic payments. Our customers are large banks and financial service providers throughout the world. IBM Safer Payments is in production for all types of payments faster and immediate payments, electronic payments such as ACH and wires as well as debit/credit card and internet/mobile payments.

To grow and strengthen our expert team in Koblenz we are looking for a Technical Specialist to help our customers in their daily fight against payment fraud.

What you will do:
  • Work on projects to implement state-of-the-art fraud prevention systems with highest performance, availability and security requirements
  • Advice clients and IBM service teams in the integration of a fraud prevention system into complex environments
  • Create and optimize fraud detection models using modern AI technology
  • Train and support our customers worldwide
  • Define and specify new requirements and features for our product

Required Technical and Professional Expertise
  • Degree in science fields such as mathematics, computer science, physics, or engineering
  • Exceptional analytical, logical and problem solving skills
  • Development skills in one of the object oriented languages such as C++, Java
  • General knowledge about UNIX/Linux environments and network protocols (such as TCP/IP, HTTPs) beneficial
  • Knowledge in Python, R or shell scripting are a plus
  • Open minded team player with excellent communication skills
  • Fluent in spoken and written English
