Manages or assists in the management of multiple cross-functional teams of applications. infrastructure. and business resources in the delivery of small to large. complex business/IT initiatives. Oversees the development of business and technical requirements. system design. system development. QA testing. deployment. and support transition. ----

Essential Functions ----Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develops. manages. and maintains the technical aspects of a given project. Manages and maintains the all project documentation. provides management of the team and designs all technical aspects of the .project(s). assigned.---
  • Assists in defining system configuration requirements per department and specialty areas.---
  • Analyzes the business and technical compatibility of systems. hardware. network. interfaces. etc.---
  • Works with IT or organizational users to design project specifications.---
  • Develops technical testing plans and coordinates the ?project's? technical testing processes.---
  • Assists with system integration. and performance and stress testing.---
  • Performs as an active member of the Information Technology team.---
  • Participates as needed or required in regular or special meetings of the IT team to address the IT strategies. their integration. their progress. and/or issues needing promotion or problem-solving.---
  • Participates in projects and interacts with all other individuals in a manner consistent with WellCare's values to ensure integrity and excellent customer service. Exhibits a customer/supplier philosophy that emphasizes both internal and external relationships. Identifies both customer and supplier needs and expectations and strives to exceed them. ----
  • Additional Position Responsibilities ? Optional ---- May also assist in the ongoing development of WellCare?s Project Management Methodologies. Project Portfolio Management. and Enterprise Portfolio Management Methodologies to ensure consistency and uniformity.---
  • Attends and actively participates in department and facility meetings and classes. including annual fire. safety. and disaster programs.---Follows safety procedures. operates equipment and performs job related duties in a safe manner which prevents accidents from occurring.---Observes the departmental dress and grooming code standards.---Demonstrates commitment to quality through knowledge of its precepts. skillful workplace applications and continuous organizational improvement.---Actively participates in. and encourages others to utilize creative and innovative approaches to accomplish tasks. i.e. ?Ideas at Work?. ?Quality Indicators.?---Demonstrates responsibility for ongoing personal development. professional growth and continuing education.---Requires some travel and the ability to adapt to flexible work hours. Requires the ability to work in a virtual office either at WellCare headquarters. at the customer site. on the road. or at a home office. ----

Minimum Qualifications ---- Education

A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science. Business Administration. or the equivalent combination of education and experience. If the bachelor's degree is in any other field. formal education in Project Management or directly related or equivalent work experience is required Required ----

Minimum Qualifications--- Work Experience

  • 5+ years of experience in IT with a minimum of 3 years leading projects Required---
  • Other Experience as an IT systems analyst Preferred---
  • Other Demonstrated experience successfully managing teams and multiple projects in a matrix environment Preferred ----
