As a Team Member Manager, you are expected to achieve success by leading yourself, your team, and the business. Specifically you will:

Lead your team with integrity and create an environment where your team members feel included, valued, and supported to do work that energizes them.

Accomplish management responsibilities which include sourcing and hiring talented team members, providing ongoing coaching and feedback, recognizing and developing team members, identifying and managing risks, and completing daily management tasks.

Digital is the focal point for all the technology supporting the Internet, Mobile and API Channels. Our dedicated team members and partners deliver, maintain and support high quality software solutions ensuring that Wells Fargo's virtual store is always open and available via online, tablet, mobile or API service (Wells Fargo Gateway) to help our customers succeed financially.

Digital Technology Release Management team manages risk during development, testing and implementation of multiple releases for the Wells Fargo Digital and API platforms. The Wells Fargo Gateway Release Manager tracks progress; facilitates release standups; reports status; manages exceptions and communicates with product owners, development stakeholders, quality assurance, build and release teams, infrastructure support teams and other partners to ensure release activities are being tracked, schedules and commitments are being met and releases are installed with minimal risk.

  • The Release Manager must be able to multitask, analyze complex issues, assess risk, bring groups to consensus, be decisive, and act quickly-- always driven to achieve a successful, on-time implementation of a quality release.
  • Establish a release inventory that includes features, infrastructure and defect fixes in releases.
  • Facilitate multiple release standups weekly for communication between scrum masters, quality assurance, development, configuration management, and operations.
  • Consult with stakeholders and partners, keep them informed and report on release milestone dates, as well as various statuses of defects and enhancements in each release.
  • Set and manage client expectations by escalating issues, changes and exceptions, when appropriate.
  • Drive task completion to meet release milestones in order to minimize risk.
  • Identify release risks, manage the tasks necessary to mitigate each risk and facilitate issue resolution.
  • Maintain accurate records and artifacts for the entire release from release kickoff through release deployment, including a final root cause analysis and lessons learned for any issues identified during the release cycle.
  • Communicate effectively with business and technical teams, across all levels of management
  • Work directly with senior management as the high-level expert on release content and issues.
  • Lead and act with appropriate sense of urgency
  • Multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Required Qualifications

  • 7+ years of technology project management experience
  • 7 + years of project management experience working on application development projects
  • 3+ years of program management experience
  • 4+ years of risk management experience
  • 3 + years of experience with Agile tools
  • 4+ years of Agile experience

Desired Qualifications

  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Experience with one or more Agile tools used for tracking user stories or backlogs, such as VersionOne and Team Foundation Server (TFS)
  • Ability to negotiate, influence, and collaborate to build successful relationships
  • Knowledge and understanding of technology project management
  • Knowledge and understanding of technology software: release management
  • Release management exposure; preferably within Wells Fargo
  • Knowledge and understanding of technical environments: management and production release coordination

Job Expectations

  • Ability to work nights, weekends, and/or holidays as needed or scheduled
