One of the things that makes Google amazing is the innovation and infrastructure that powers all of our services. Billions of users use Google products - from Search to YouTube - and all of those things rely on our Data Centers. These aren't like your standard Data Center, either, we are at the very edge of technology, hardware and networking; and every year as our footprint grows, so does the capacity we need to operate. The Supply Chain team ensures we are building, delivering and installing the necessary computing hardware in the right place at the right time to cope with our growth.

You will join a new initiative in Supply Chain to expand the scope of an 'expedited machine delivery program' to address the ever-growing needs of computing capacity across Google. The success of the initiative will have CEO / CFO visibility.

Overall Responsibilities:

Ensure the day-to-day operations of the 'expedited machine delivery' program runs smoothly, as we scale out the program.

Top 3 Daily Responsibilities:

Organize weekly operations reviews to coordinate across multiple operations teams

Track in-flight machine orders and work with downstream operations (e.g. logistics, manufacturing, data center operations) to expedite any potential delays.

Analyze metrics and provide insights to improve operations efficiency.

Additional Responsibilities:

You closely partner with software engineers building the systems to improve operations efficiency, and interface with program managers of downstream operations teams.

Required Skills:

Bachelor's Degree in Business Management or Technical Field including Engineering

5+ years of experience in program management

Relevant industry experience in program management (Supply Chain prefered)

Strong computer applications skills and excellent attention to detail; quick learner with creative problem solving and analytical skills.

Strong communicator and coordination skills

Nice to Have Skills/Not Required:

MA/MS/MBA in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations Research, Operations Engineering or other relevant field.

Analytical / Math skills to understand basic supply chain concepts, analyze data and investigate issues.

Ability to write basic SQL queries.
