Job Description:


The IT Office Support position is a key part of the IT team. This team is responsible for providing complete hardware and software support to all network devices. The IT Office Support is responsible for all new PC configuration, new user profile creation at existing PCs, printer installs, email & Exchange maintenance and providing technical support on wide variety of end user problems. This position requires the highest level of organizational skill. Attention to detail and the ability to multi-task are crucial.


This position requires the employee to be everyone's "Goto Person", must have a friendly disposition and work well with all users regardless of rank or skill level.

This position requires strict confidentiality. The IT Office Support will be privy to sensitive Company records including email. Information in these areas will not be discussed with anyone inside or outside the company. Confidentiality is a condition of employment for the IT Office Support.


Job Responsibilities


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.


- Maintain network hardware and software, including servers, peripherals, terminals and wiring.


- Ability to terminate CAT 5 Ethernet Cabling


- Ensure all PC and support equipment power cords are hidden from view and tied together in a neat &


bundled manner.


- Manages backup storage and retrieval functions.


- Responsible for inventory maintenance and disposition of all IT hardware.


- Maintain daily performance of computer systems.


- Install, modify, and repair computer hardware and software.


- Administer mobile devices and accounts.


- Install computer peripherals for users.


USERS


- Responsible for initial PC Setup (Hardware Setup, User Installs, Drive mapping, Software Installs, AV


Install).


- Responsible for miscellaneous Hardware Installs (Mouse, Keyboard, Printers, Scanners).


- New Profile installations (Outlook, Printers, Common Icons, Common Software/Desktop)


- Software installations


- Create, change, and delete user accounts per request using MS Active Directory and MS Exchange.


- Create and maintain simple group policies (GPO) in MS 2008 R2.


- Creates and configures user accounts and voicemail in company phone system.


- Configures telephone access as part of On-boarding and Off-boarding procedures


- Responsible for providing technical assistance and support related to computer systems, hardware, or


software.

- Respond to user issues using RDP, VNC either in person or over the phone.


OTHER DEPARTMENTS


- Coordinate with other departments in order to understand and meet their requirements.


- Work closely with other departments to develop detailed specification documents with clear deliverables


and timelines.


SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES


- This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

REQUIREMENTS:


1-2 years help desk experience


2 years working with PC hardware


Competency in Active Directory/MS Exchange, not necessarily Expert Level Experience


Competency in Windows Server OS 2008 & 2012 R2, not necessarily Exper Level Experience


Terminate Cat5 Ethernet Cables


Experience with HyperV managing Virtualized Windows 2003,2008, 2012 R2 servers


Fluent in all MS Office products


Ability to Travel if necessary


DESIRED:


- A1 Certification


- ITIL Certification


- MS SharePoint implementation a plus


- Windows scripting


- HTML, IIS, VSS


- DNS, DHCP


EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE


- Associates or Bachelor's Degree in computer-related field of study.


LANGUAGE SKILLS


- Ability to read, write and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance


instructions, and procedures manuals. Ability to write routine correspondence.


- Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.


- Ability to write detailed project scopes, workflows and specifications for internal users or outside


consultants.


MATHEMATICAL SKILLS


- Ability to perform basic mathematical functions.


COMPUTER SKILLS:


- Knowledge of Local Area Network (LAN) architecture, including servers, PC clients, printer setup,


firewall, hubs/switches, etc.


- Experience with Software Installations, Server Installations, Virtual Sever and PC Installations.


- Familiarity with Windows 7 Pro and Windows 10.


REASONING ABILITY:


- Excellent trouble shooting skills


- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or


diagram form.


- Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.


COMPUTER HELP DESK EXPERIENCE IS REQUIRED
