Job Description

Enterprise Information Securitys (EIS) vision is to provide Wells Fargo world leading cyber security risk management. Through a framework that addresses policy, process, operations, people, and technology, EIS protects Wells Fargos infrastructure, corporate data, and customer assets, and ensures alignment with applicable regulations and laws. EIS is part of Wells Fargo's Corporate Risk organization and is led by the Chief Information Security Officer.

Note: The preferred work locations are Charlotte, NC or Washington, DC are but will consider other core Wells Fargo locations.

This position will work with the Advanced Threat Operations team within Cyber Threat Management @ Wells Fargo & Co.

This role will have various functions including interfacing with industry experts both internally and externally, to include private sector in industries such as Retail, Financial Institutions, Healthcare, and other government/private agencies to gain insight into current cyber security threats and techniques to detect and counter the threats. The position monitors external and internal sources and as threats emerge looks for opportunities to work with peers in the Cyber Threat Management team to do research and develop data collection techniques that will benefit the Wells Fargo information security program. As threats evolve and gaps are identified this role will provide subject matter expertise and leverage industry relationships to develop tactical responses for industry-wide cyber security issues and problems. This role will also interface with internal teams within Enterprise Information Security and develop tactical and strategic plans and processes to integrate research and data collected into actionable activities and reports.

The position will also lead efforts to execute on design specifications and feature requests given by senior management within Wells Fargos EIS team and consults and plans with business partners to assess security risk around new projects. The position will interact with a multi-disciplinary team with direct or matrixed responsibilities to design and develop cyber security strategies to include modeling, data analytics and visualization.

Finally, the position will interact and negotiate with middle and/or senior management on a regular basis; create and implement communication plans including presentations on program goals and plans, including progress reports; and maybe called upon to manage projects and initiatives.



Required Qualifications

  • 10+ years of technology delivery and relationship management experience with a client organization
  • 5+ years of information security experience
  • 3+ years of experience working with law enforcement, multiple government agencies or private sector agencies



Desired Qualifications

  • Relationship management experience delivering technology services between one or more internal technology organizations large internal lines of business
  • Experience working in a large enterprise environment
  • Ability to prepare and present senior level communications
  • Ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, achieve goals, and work under pressure in a dynamic and complex environment
  • Ability to work effectively, as well as independently, in a team environment
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Access, and Project) skills
  • Knowledge and understanding of banking or financial services industry
  • Knowledge and understanding of establishing or managing cyber threat management capabilities and functions
  • Knowledge and understanding of threat analysis and assessment of potential and current information security risk/threats
  • Top Secret Security Clearance (TS/SCI)



Other Desired Qualifications
  • 3+ years of experience working with Law Enforcement and/or the Intelligence Community
  • 1 + years of experience with handling both internal and external Audits
  • 1+ years of experience with large-scale data-onboarding initiatives
  • Responsible for developing strategic cybercrimes and threat analysis initiatives to inform product, service, and channels and will lead the development of detection strategies through operations to mitigate exposure to complex cybercrime threats.
  • Experience providing principal level tactical cybercrime and threat analysis to inform product, service, channel and design strategies to mitigate exposure to those threats.
  • Proven success in utilizing multiple methodologies to monitor key indicators for emerging threat trends.
  • Undergraduate degree or higher
  • Industry recognized cyber security certifications such as SANS
  • Project/Program Management experience
  • Experience establishing and maintaining atypical professional development training programs
  • Proven success in participating in multi-disciplinary teams with direct or matrixed management responsibilities to design and develop multi-channel threat mitigation strategies to including modeling/analysis, data analytics and visualization
  • Ability to provide subject matter expertise on actual or perceived events as well as emerging technologies and tools for EIS and other line of business leaders
  • Ability to deal with ambiguity and drive decisions often based on limited information
  • Experience with complex data analytics solutions and managing multiple databases
  • Previous experience managing cybercrime detection, investigation, and intelligence strategies.
  • Experience monitoring industry, technology, and regulatory trends to determine business impacts
  • Experience working with law enforcement, multiple government agencies, and private sector agencies.
  • Vendor management & technology assessment
