Responsible for Systems Performance Engineering support tasks, leading to delivery of application systems which meet the performance and stability requirements of business stakeholders. Primary duties may include, but are not limited to: Leads and coordinates performance engineering for small to medium initiatives. Collect and document expected system performance and operational characteristics. Collect and/or prepare test data for test execution. Develop and execute performance tests including load, stress, endurance, fail-over and interoperability. Analyze performance test results. Identify, report, and review defects in assessing system performance and stability. Create reports to document performance metrics, test results, analysis and recommendations. Monitor performance of production systems. Develop system tuning recommendations. Leads peer reviews to ensure the completeness of all test assets created. Understand and follow all applicable SDLC and performance engineering processes. Resolve performance and stability issues in performance test environment. Leads performance defect triage. Requires Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information Systems; minimum 5 years; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background. Demonstrated ability to perform and manage performance engineering activities.

  1. Participates in defining project team roles and responsibilities, develops work plan structure and project schedule 2. Leads project meetings
  2. Identifies, documents and helps Product Owners prioritize Jira backlogs
  3. Maintains and updates all project documents; secures the appropriate skill sets for project
  4. Sets and manages expectations with resource managers and team members
  5. Executes communication plans; Conduct project close-out activities
  6. Prepares and participates in quality review checkpoints
  7. Obtain/secure and archive necessary approvals
  8. Leads and coordinates performance engineering for large initiatives spanning multiple projects and/or systems.
  9. Collect and document expected system performance and operational characteristics.

  11. Develop and execute performance tests including load, stress, endurance, fail-over and interoperability.
  12. Conduct technical analysis of performance test results and production systems, and provide recommendations on performance tuning, systems, and infrastructure.
  13. Identify, report, and review defects in assessing system performance and stability. Facilitates resolution of issues.
  14. Create reports to document performance metrics, test results, analysis and recommendations.
  15. Monitor performance of production systems.
  16. Leads peer reviews to ensure the completeness of all test assets created.
  17. Understand and follow all applicable SDLC and performance engineering processes.
  18. Leads performance defect triage and determines cross-system impact.
  19. Plan and coordinate performance engineering efforts in support of key initiatives including work plan and project schedule.
  20. Determine level of effort and resource requirements for customer engagements. Review and offer guidance for test scripting and recommend use of appropriate technical tool to produce correct result output.
  21. Ensure accuracy of test scripts and take corrective action to product accurate and valid test results.
  22. Work with stakeholders to ensure complete understanding of performance and operational requirements.
  23. Prepare Master Performance Test Strategy and ensures long term strategy can be accomplished for the application.
  24. Prepare capacity analysis when applicable. Review architectural design for performance risks and potential issues.
  25. Evaluate performance characteristics of new technologies.
  26. Lead improvement of the performance engineer process in the SDLC.
  27. Lead resolution of production performance and stability issues.
  28. Identifies training and tool needs for team.
  29. Coaches and mentors project team members.
  30. Review architectural design for performance risks and potential issues.
  31. Prepare capacity analysis when applicable.
  32. Facilitate team efforts across multiple projects and/or systems.
  33. Facilitate improvement of the performance engineer process in the SDLC
  34. Facilitate resolution of production performance and stability issues

Qualifications:

1. Requires BA/BS in Business Management, Computer Science, Engineering, or related disciplines.

2. Minimum 5 years healthcare experience.

3. Minimum 5 years performance engineering/testing experience

4. 5 years of project management experience in broad-based information systems, with at least 3 years leading and directing project tasks.

5. Any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.

6. Project management experience with medium to large scale program.

7. Experience leading and successfully implementing large Agile or SAFe projects and working closely with Product Teams from different Business areas.

8. Ability to establish and lead cross-functional internal partners.

9. Strong and clear documentation of information to be utilized by others.

10. Communicates effectively with multiple levels within the organization.

11. Self-motivated, directed and driven to create strategies, plans and implementations.

12. Critical thinking and analytical skills with a focus on business processes and information flow with the ability to streamline and organize.

13. Demonstrated application of and proven success of project management methodology, management tools, analysis and research tools, documentation tools, and reporting tools required.

14. Experience in creating an effective team environment, building strong relationships, negotiation, solving problems and issues, resolving conflicts, managing resources in a matrix environment, communicating and influencing effectively at all levels of an organization required.

15. Demonstrated application of project management methodology required.

16. Requires an understanding of the overall organization.
