This is an Application support role within Wealth and Trust Technology, a part of the Platform Management within the Capital Markets Technology division within EIT. Duties are varied and include supporting highly complex technical issues and initiatives related to large-scale applications, systems, databases and/or other technical products and services; uses/creates diagnostic, simulation and other tools to maintain, troubleshoot and restore service or data to systems; evaluates service level agreement criteria, identifies gaps in current technology process and recommends changes to assure SLAs can be supported; performs migrations from development to production, upgrades, installations and/or configurations; may evaluate or review queries to extract data, create standard databases, or perform limited programming to fine tune systems supported; completes project sizing; updates/writes documentation and procedures and provides related training; troubleshoots network, hardware and software issues and coordinates resolution with users, vendors and internal service groups; writes/designs test scripts; creates change or issue logs; analyzes performance trends and recommends process improvements; assesses changes for risk to production systems and assures quality, security and compliance requirements are met for supported areas; updates, creates and tests the business continuation plan; may coordinate project resources and provide guidance to less experienced analysts.

Successful candidates must have outstanding troubleshooting skills in deploying, supporting, installing and configuring multi-tier applications, running on Unix/Linux and Window server platforms. Familiar with middleware components such as .net/IIS, Weblogic, Java, JBOSS, Apache and Tomcat experience desirable, NDM (Network Data Mover) as well experience supporting vendor applications. Participating in patching efforts and validating applications after patches are applied. Must have a basic knowledge of Database tables and queries. Should be able to troubleshoot DB-related issues. Must be able to lead BCP Exercises. Applicants must demonstrate a passion for using automation to improve their own and others effectiveness. Knowledge of one or more scripting languages is beneficial. Experience and expertise with production incident management with multiple stakeholders a high preference. Excellent communication skills are necessary and effective cross-team collaboration and documentation skills a desirable premium. Applicants must have production support experience in a 24x7 environment. Capability to self-start and drive initiatives with little to no oversight, and document and engage with a globally distributed team.

**Must be able to work any shift between the hours of 7am and 7pm CST, as well as on call, as necessary**

5+ years of systems support analysis experience2+ years of SharePoint experience2 + years of Confluence WikiD experience2+ years of technical troubleshooting experience1 + year of experience with Agile tools2 + years of experience working with vendor software, technologies and tools that are enterprise solutions2+ years of experience with SAS or SQL, or other data management, reporting and query tools2 + years of experience developing or supporting REMEDY IT Service Management solutions

Desired Qualifications

2+ years of JIRA experiencePAC2000 experienceIT Infrastructure Library Certification (ITIL)Advanced Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Access, and Project) skills

Other Desired Qualifications

Three years support experience in a combination of the following technologies:
Installation, Configuration, and Operation of Middleware and OS access components:
Apache HTTPD Server
OpenSSL
Java
Linux/Unix or Windows IIS/.NET
SQL Query tools
Installation, Configuration, and Operation of one or more Java Based Platforms:
Oracle Weblogic
JBoss Application Server
RedHat/JBoss Enterprise Application Platform
Apache Tomcat
Familiarity with application and monitoring technology concepts including or similar to:
Autosys scheduler and use
NDM file transmission
Basic DB connectivity and query capability
Basic knowledge of databases that include SQL, Oracle, and DB2
Application Base Monitoring tools (Application Dynamics, Splunk, HP OVO, etc)
Enterprise hosted deployment capabilities or other deployment methodologies
Capability to support and function highly in a blended off and on-shore model of distributed development partners
Understanding of Network Security Protocols and Encryption Methods
Ability to understand published threats/vulnerabilities that apply to application components
Ability to evaluate threat/vulnerability impacts to existing application implementations
Understanding of Active Directory, BOKS, Power Broker and other directory services
Business analyst experience
