Responsible for translating the clients business requirements into specific systems, applications or process designs for very large complex IT solutions and integrating architecture. Acts as an advocate for the client as the ultimate authority on the architecture designed to address client business problems. Plans, implements, tests, documents, and maintains enterprise-wide solutions to total system or subsystems using internally created and/or off the shelf products. Analyzes and identifies all or part of a company's existing or new peripheral, network, and telecommunications systems requirements, taking into consideration the special technology needs. Establishes functional and technical specifications and standards, solves hardware/software interface problems, defines input/output parameters, and ensures integration of the entire system or subsystem. Provides direction for design activities. Often project-based, sometimes working at customer sites.

The Systems Integrator will support the Sponsors organization by providing strategic integration support in support of a Foreign Language Program. The Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Provide expert support services for strategic planning and policy development related to foreign language; assist the overall office and Chief Language Strategist with change management and communications of new strategies, policies, and technologies
  • Provide consulting support in plan implementation, including the development and tracking of metrics
  • Assist in efforts to strengthen oversight of all funds spent for external language training and the collection of data relevant to reporting mandate within the Sponsor
  • Support in engaging stakeholders, identifying communication requirements, and selecting communication vehicles to integrate and synchronize the program communications
  • Prepare formal and informal project documentation, as well as briefing packages, talking points, whitepapers and graphics as requested
  • Provide additional assistance, expertise, and or guidance through contractor reach back to support the programs mission needs
  • Support external outreach including internal and external engagement with foreign language partners (internal and external to the Sponsor)
  • Participate in relevant program/project reviews and meetings as required to enable the Foreign Language Program within the Sponsor
  • Assist the Sponsor in documenting, analyzing, and reporting Program critical activities, milestones and dependencies
  • Assist the Sponsor in identifying, analyzing, tracking and reporting on all performance, schedule, risks, issues and opportunities associated with the language program


Required Skills:

  • Demonstrate the ability to work as a team player in a multi-discipline team environment
  • Communicate (verbally and in writing) complex information in a clear, concise manner that is targeted to and meets the needs of diverse audiences with different perspectives and objectives
  • Demonstrate the ability to listen, to clarify, and convey understanding of others ideas, comments and issues, while integrating and leveraging diverse opinions in a manner that encourages the formation of integrated solutions and position
  • Requires 10 to 12 years with BS/BA or 8 to 10 years with MS/MA or 5 to 7 years with PhD.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and persevere when challenged by multiple, simultaneous tasks
