Responsibilities
Co-Op / Interns typically represent college students trying to gain related work experience while pursuing an undergraduate degree. Under direct supervision, our interns will be part of a fast-paced, high energy, team as an early adopter and leader in the digital transformation of systems engineering. To engineer increasingly complex systems and capabilities, the government is transforming legacy systems engineering methods and processes. Central to the transformation is the adoption of Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) as the means to manage complexity, increase engineering quality, and ultimately drive cost and schedule efficiencies into the acquisition process.

Interns will;
-Support the transformation through application of MBSE industry best practices, develop MBSE processes and methodologies to deliver effective mission solutions, and apply MBSE experience to modeling mission systems
-Assess engineering artifacts and develop models of mission systems using a MBSE tool suite
- Apply systems engineering modeling methodologies to develop mission models
- Facilitate collaborative meetings between the MBSE users and the tool development team to communicate modeling needs and help innovate potential solutions
This ten-week paid internship program runs from June 1 to August 7, with the option to extend. We ask that each intern be available to work the duration of the ten weeks and commit to working a minimum of 30 hours per week. This program is geared towards technical college students, actively enrolled at a four year university, who will be rising into their senior year. Juniors may be considered if they have declared their major and have qualified coursework.
Our intern program is designed to provide college students the opportunity to learn about Perspecta and gain meaningful, hands-on work experience in a professional environment. Perspectas Summer Internship Program places an emphasis on developing the next generations workforce. This being said, as part of our internship curriculum we provide the opportunity for each intern to interact with various branches of the company. This includes the chance to participate in a corporate public speaking exercise, complete technical training courses, attend brown bag sessions with our executive leadership team and participate in teambuilding activities with mentors and fellow interns. Our culture of mentoring, continuous learning and team orientation will be obvious from your first day on the job. Our goal is to build a roadmap that leads you to a long, rewarding and challenging career. We work with you to determine your desired career path, and the correct steps to get you to your goals. At the end of the program each intern will give a brief presentation to our executive team summarizing their accomplishments and key takeaways achieved while working for us.
