Position responsibilities:

1. Under limited supervision, configures, installs, maintains and upgrades computer systems hardware and software.

2 Under limited supervision, provides operational and information systems support for th Fixed Income trading platform for U.S. Treasuries.

3. Performs recovery procedures, scheduling and backups, and monitors batch processes.

4. Restores files or systems by designing, writing and implementing backup procedures.

5. Involved with problem management (2nd line support).

6. Supplies server solutions for internal and external clients.

7. Under limited supervision, becomes involved with virtualization and automation.

8. Monitors systems for Performance management and Capacity planning.

Education required: Degree qualified in Computer Science, MIS or other related discipline, or equivalent work experience. Experience Required: 6 to 8 years Certifications:

Certifications relevant for the role. Core Skills & Requirement:

Functional knowledge: Requires conceptual and practical expertise in own discipline and basic knowledge of related disciplines. Is fully self-sufficient and competent in regards to output quality and quantity.

Requires little or no supervision on a day to day basis. Business expertise: Has basic or good knowledge of best practices and how own area of expertise integrates with others. Understands key business drivers and is aware of the competition and the factors that differentiate them in the market.

Leadership: Provides informal guidance for colleagues with less experience. Is accountable for contributing with a competent standard and delivers every time. Plans and prioritizes work using resources in the best possible way to complete tasks on time and with high quality.

Problem solving: Solves problems using existing solutions; exercises judgment based on the analysis of multiple sources of information. Is starting to look at ? best practice ? .

Works quickly and is able to assist other team members where appropriate. Works independently. Interpersonal skills: Is able to explain difficult information; works to build consensus. ? .

Technical Skills & Requirements: Analytical Thinking: Synthesizes information from various sources by breaking it down into relevant components and generating new data when needed; considers a broad range of issues when determining relevance of data. Integrates complex information and concepts and organizes analysis efforts into a systematic framework; verifies logic of others and challenges ideas, assumptions and conclusions.

Technical Knowledge/Proficiency: Acts as a source of technical expertise; collaborates with other associates to develop functional capabilities, knowledge and skills, encouraging them to develop their IT expertise.

Troubleshooting/Technical Support: Develops interim and long-term solutions to complex problems to ensure successful project completion.

System and Technology Integration: Possesses knowledge of features and facilities for integration, and communication among applications, databases and technology platforms to bring together different components and form a fully functional solution to a business problem.

Systems Administration: Collaborates with team members on more complex systems administration issues, reviewing systems performance reports and answering associate ? s questions.

Technical Requirements : O/S - Linux, Windows, Bash or ksh scripting, Perl or Python, Sybase or Oracle or Microsoft SQL, FIX

Prior experience with Front Office Trading Systems is required.
