The Systems Administrator (SA) position provides network support, end-user support, and support for TAPE's third party managed services vendors on the TAPE IT systems.


  • Conducts daily system monitoring
  • Verifies the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, system and key processes, reviewing system and application logs, and verifying completion of scheduled jobs such as backups.
  • Conducts regular security monitoring to identify vulnerabilities and any possible intrusions; setting up and managing frequent and regular (at least daily) backup operations.
  • Ensures all required file systems and system data are successfully backed up to appropriate media.
  • Works with managed services vendors on system maintenance and upgrades as necessary.

    • Desktop support via All Covered
    • Network infrastructure support via ePlus
    • Unified Communications support via Call Tower

  • Provides additional support as needed.

    • Laptop and phone access to network
    • VPN support, both, network access and P2P


  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or engineering or related field.
  • Three to five years+ of help desk and systems administration experience.

    • NOTE: just above entry level, candidate needs experience with sharepoint but does not have to be an expert.


  • SharePoint 2007/2016 administrative, operations and maintenance experience is required
  • SharePoint 2016 website/page design and implementation as well as workflow implementation experience is required.
  • Experience migrating SharePoint 2007 to 2016.
  • Help desk experience supporting users in configuration of printers and troubleshooting connectivity issues and application use.
  • Experience configuring laptops for end user use.
  • Basic understanding of Cisco networking and routing protocols, and can troubleshoot network connectivity issues. Infrastructure includes;

    • Meraki wireless access points
    • Meraki switching
    • Cisco ASA firewall
    • NetApp storage system

  • Ability to consistently make good decisions through a combination of analysis, wisdom, experience, and judgment.
  • Strong analytical and logical problem solving skills.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
