The Supply Chain Project / Program Manager will be responsible for the management of key strategic initiatives for the supply chain. Specifically these initiatives will be supporting Wireless Supply Chain Transportation and Logistics. Functions to include the execution of current projects as well as to work with the business to identify develop and execute business efficiencies and other projects that will work to digitize the supply chain. This position is responsible for leading strategic initiatives across the supply chain with key partners, leveraging a data-driven and collaborative approach. These initiatives can drive systematic, operational, process and reporting opportunities. These initiatives can also be cross-functional and this candidate will represent the Supply Chain on projects across multiple pillars within our Business Transformation process.


Specific responsibilities will include but are not limited to:



  • Lead and execute upon strategic initiatives for Supply Chain
  • Evaluate current transportation model and identify and implement strategies that that will decrease costs while meeting service level commitments.
  • Develop project plans and document project plans through project briefs.
  • Manage cross-functional working teams to effectively execute upon project plans
  • Develop strategies to improve transportation cost and performance with legal requirements, customer requirements and IT technology constraints.
  • Define and drive alternative operational models to contain expedited store shipping costs.
  • Define and drive alternative operational models to contain inbound shipping cost.
  • Drive tactical transportation cost containment initiatives.
  • Lead the analysis and implementation of cost containment initiatives and process improvements across our transportation network while considering the impact on inventory planning, warehouse operations, inbound receiving and store receiving.
  • Lead cross functional pilots to demonstrate and evaluate alternative distribution models
  • Lead project teams to drive changes to transportation infrastructure that will enable world class transportation efficiencies.
  • Develop data driven business cases to support improvement efforts.
  • Design business process to improve current processes.
  • Lead implementation of new processes including project planning, resource planning, change management and training.
  • Interface with Global Supply Chain IT to identify and drive system enhancements.
  • Manage the development and launch of new carrier alternatives
  • Acts as subject matter expert for communication with fulfillment centers, transportation operations and cross-functional teams
  • Manage vendor implementation of new technology and process improvements

You'll need to have:



  • Bachelor's degree or six or more years of work experience.
  • Six or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule and to travel up to 25% of the time.
  • Experience with small parcel transportation


Even better if you have:



  • Master's degree in Supply Chain, IE or a related field preferred
  • Ability to manage third party vendor management staff on daily performance issues.
  • Ability to lead projects and handle multiple tasks to meet required deadlines on time.
  • Effectively embraces change and adapts to current business needs.
