Responsibilities

  • Performs a wide range of complex analytical tasks for trans-regional MISO programs including but not limited to the identification of target audience trends, analyzing target audience(s), developing measures of performance, measures of effectiveness and evidence of effectiveness; analyzing strategies to improve MISO effectiveness
  • Designs and distributes printed and digital MISO content
  • Schedules MISO production
  • Synchronizes MISO themes and objectives
  • Defines, refines, and revises MISO plans and performance metrics
  • Participates in military decision making processes (i.e., JOPP, MDMP, etc.)
  • Assists in preparation of tactical and operational MISO concepts, plans, policies, activities, and investments
  • Researches and ensures evolving tactical and operational MISO requirements and objectives are synchronized with strategic and trans-regional MISO planning documents
  • Understands cyberspace operations and cybersecurity analysis
  • Provides expert support, analysis, and research with only broad direction into exceptionally complex problems and processes relating to the subject matter
  • Serves as technical expert on high-level project teams providing technical direction, interpretation, and alternatives
  • Works under only general direction, thinks independently, and demonstrates superior written and oral communications skills
  • Independently determines and develops approaches to solutions and develops solutions that are imaginative, thorough, practicable, and consistent with organizational objectives
  • Contributes to the completion of specific programs and projects
  • Works primarily at Fort Meade, MD, with ability to travel

Qualifications

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in MISO, PSYOPS, and cyberspace operations planning to include:
    • 7 years of experience in MISO or PSYOPS (civilian equivalent experience considered)
    • 5 years of experience in MISO/PSYOPS series and product development as well as oversight and implementation of multi-faceted processes (civilian equivalent considered)
    • 5 years of experience integrating and synchronizing MISO or PSYOPS at tactical, operational, and strategic levels (civilian experience considered)
  • Minimum of bachelors degree in a technical or business discipline in the area of expertise from an accredited college or university
  • Preferred graduate of the Joint IO Planners Course, Joint MILDEC Training Course, or equivalent
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Excellent communications skills
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
