In addition, this group provides an enterprise-wide view of risk, assists management and our Board of Directors in identifying and monitoring risks that may affect multiple lines of business, and takes appropriate action when business activities exceed the risk tolerance of the company.

Strategic Planning Manager 2 Enterprise Information Security Risk Leadership and Management (RLM)

We have a new opportunity for a Strategic Planning Manager 2 who will report to the leader of the Enterprise Information Security (EIS), Risk Leadership and Management (RLM) group. RLM is responsible for influencing information security risk management across the enterprise and is critical in helping Wells Fargo manage their information security risks. RLM has responsibility for Business Process Information Security, Third Party Information Security Management, Workforce Accountability, and Information Security Risk Management domains.

The person selected for this role will be responsible for establishing strategic objectives across all EIS first line of defense functions, coordinating near-term planning, the development of long range strategic plans and identification and analysis of information security risks, as well as technology and process opportunities.

Duties may include: evaluating current strategic landscape and proposing future information security functional, operational, or service changes or expansions; cost/utilization or efficiency studies; monitoring cyber threat, innovation, and industry trends to determine potential operational, readiness, or business impacts; coordinating the collection of research and departmental plans and integrating into division-wide recommendations. Serves as an information resource to executive and senior level management. Directs internal as well as industry strategic planning activities and represents Wells Fargo on Industry boards and committees. May manage a small staff.

Preferred locations for this position are Charlotte, Minneapolis and Chandler. Other locations may be considered.

Required Qualifications

  • 7+ years of strategic planning experience
  • 3+ years of management experience
  • 5+ years of information security experience



Desired Qualifications

  • Risk management experience
  • Knowledge and understanding of business planning and analysis
  • Ability to influence executive decision-making and successfully negotiate critical issue resolution related to program initiatives
  • Ability to manage initiatives including: detailed planning, process management, and documentation
  • Ability to prepare and present senior level communications
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Strong collaboration and partnering skills
  • Experience working in a large enterprise environment



Other Desired Qualifications
  • Relevant experience in information security technology and risk management
  • Experience with cost/utilization or efficiency studies;
  • Experience monitoring cyber threat, innovation, and industry trends to determine potential operational, readiness, or business impacts;
  • Experience coordinating the collection of research and departmental plans and integrating into division-wide recommendations;
  • Experience building relationships with industry boards and committees.
