The Storage Operations Team builds, deploys and maintains production SAN and NAS systems in a 24/7 environment across multiple global datacenters. Our team gets to work with leading edge SaaS infrastructure and virtualization technologies. Role & Responsibilities
In this role as a Storage Engineering Consultant you will:
? Perform implementation, maintenance, monitoring, performance analysis, proactive troubleshooting and continual
improvement of the storage infrastructure (EMC, NetApp, Cisco MDS 9K)
? Drive automation of the implementation, maintenance and alerting of the storage environment
? Deploy and maintain a storage infrastructure that requires 24/7 availability
? Provide technical support in case of incidents during off business hours (on call)
? Maintain SAN/NAS devices firmware up to date as per vendor recommendations
? Participate in programs to deploy POC systems for evaluation and testing
? Review the entire environment and execute initiatives to reduce failures, defects and improving overall performance
Minimum Qualifications
? Demonstrated Experience supporting Cisco SAN switches (MDS 9K) in a production environment
? Demonstrated Experience in deploying and maintaining SAN and NAS systems (EMC & NetApp) in a production environment
? Demonstrated Experience working in and troubleshooting a high-uptime, high-availability environment
? Must be analytical and possess strong organization and problem-solving skills
? Participate in a regular on-call rotation
Desired Skills
? Strong virtualization skillset (ideally VMWare or KVM)
? Good understanding of networking technologies (TCP/IP, DNS and routing, etc)
? Industry standard SAN/NAS certifications a plus
