SR. Programmer Analyst


PRIMARY DUTIES


This job may include the following job duties and is not an all-inclusive list of all job duties that may be required. Employees will be required to perform other related duties as assigned.



  • Interact and collaborate in a team setting with co-workers including other programmers, database administrators, business analysts and quality assurance.
  • Ensure efficient, optimal operation of enterprise applications.
  • Perform regular health checks and analysis on production platforms looking for potential problems before they impact business operations.
  • Troubleshoot issues in enterprise web applications.
  • Develop code of high complexity and scope, while adhering to documented development standards.
  • Create and modify reports.
  • Work independently to develop solutions for complex business and technical problems.
  • Support deployment of code into production and maintain after release.
  • Coordinate with other team members to brainstorm and create new processes for the Court and Probation to use in day-to-day operations.
  • Focus continually on developing business knowledge and product/feature expertise.
  • Utilize source control to label, package, and deploy applications utilizing best practice procedures/techniques.
  • Follow industry practices of analysis, design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance/production support of custom application software.
  • Test developed code for accuracy, efficiency, and stability.
  • Coordinate with other team members to assist on a variety of development needs and practices.
  • Mentor and train less-experienced staff members.
  • Assist with customer support issues to resolve any application issues and/or errors.

  1. Supervision Received: Applications Development Manager
  2. Supervision Exercised: None, but could act as a technical team leader


QUALIFICATIONS


Minimum education and/or experience:


Minimum Skill set



  • Minimum 5 years experiences in Software development, preferably in production support
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Expertise in VBScript and/or Visual Basic 6
  • Experience with supporting enterprise production software systems
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in relational database design, stored procedure creation, data modeling & query optimization
  • Experience in development/maintenance of Asp.net applications using C#
  • Experience in supporting legacy classic ASP/COM applications
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate to various levels of management
  • A solid understanding of basic design/architecture principle



  1. Other combinations of education, experience, or training that may be considered in substitution for the minimum requirements: An equivalent combination of education and job-related experience, substituted on a year-for-year basis.
  2. Preferred education and/or experience:



  • Experience in supporting legacy classic ASP/COM applications
  • Experience in development/maintenance of Asp.net applications using C#
  • Experience using/administering Team Foundation Server
  • Experience using JIRA ticketing system
  • Experience with JQuery and Angular
  • Experience with ORMs
  • Experience with Microsoft SQL Server 2012 & 2016 and T-SQL
