Key Responsibilities:

Health and Welfare Benefit Plan Administration and Compliance

- Partner with relevant vendors and internal Finance partners to manage and administer benefit programs/open enrollment, including but not limited to the maintenance of medical, dental, disability, life insurance, FMLA, flexible spending accounts, COBRA.

- Ensure compliance with all pertinent federal and local regulations, filing and compliance requirements affecting employee benefit programs including ERISA, COBRA, FMLA, ADA, Section 125, Workers Compensation, Medicare, Social Security and DOL requirements.

- Partner with outside consultants, legal counsel to prepare and execute benefit documentation such as original and amended plan texts, benefit agreements, insurance policies and required amendments to vendor contracts.

- Oversee administration of leaves of absence

Retirement Plan Administration and Compliance

Partner with vendor to manage the administration of employee savings plans (US, CAN & UK). Act as liaison with savings plan record keeper, investment advisor, external auditors and legal counsel. Coordinate efforts associated with tax and ERISA compliance audits and reporting.

Wellness Programs

In partnership with Corporate Services, develop and manage an engaging portfolio of wellness programs and activities.

Compensation Program Management

In partnership with broader HR team, manage performance assessment, salary and annual bonus-related programs and administration:

- Salary structures

- Annual performance and compensation cycle

- Market analysis/job evaluation

- Compliance reviews and filings (EEO-1, AAP)

Required Skills:


- 7 or more years' experience in Human Resources with at least 4 years in compensation/benefits program management role

- Strong analytical and communication skills

- Strong HRIS skills as well as familiarity with use of vendor benefits administration portals

- Demonstrated experience in effectively managing multiple priorities and complex regulatory issues

- Must be well organized and have a strong customer-focused mindset

Desired (not required) Skills:

- Prior management experience preferred


- BS or equivalent relevant experience
