IT Business Analyst with experience in both information technology and business administration. The successful applicant will facilitate the business analysis process to identify business requirements for system solutions or improved processes that will increase efficiency, productivity and value to our company. The ideal candidate for this position is detail-oriented and highly innovative. Will also be responsible for translating business needs to IT solutions, and vice versa, with current programs, projects and initiatives in mind.


Responsibilities:



  • Serve as key liaison to other departments that have specific business functions.
  • Collaborate with departments to identify, document and communicate business needs and provide IT solutions.
  • Plan, elicit, capture, analyze and validate business, functional and technical requirements.
  • Facilitate requirements elicitation sessions and walkthroughs with business and IT resources.
  • Perform current state analysis of existing business systems, applications and functions.
  • Produce timely and high quality requirements-related work products, including requirement specifications, functional specs, process flows and mock-ups.
  • Answer questions and clarify requirements for projects and enhancements during the initiation phase.
  • Become deeply immersed and knowledgeable about core business functions, processes and workflows associated with assigned business areas and projects.
  • Understand the relationships, dependencies and impact of neighboring business functions.
  • Understand core systems, applications and technical platforms.
  • Document, analyze and assess current business processes and underlying systems / applications.
  • Collaborate with other departments and IT to develop business cases, project charters, and functional specification associated with new project requests.
  • Review technical designs to ensure that business needs are being met.
  • Lead and facilitate continuous improvement efforts.
  • Responsible for documenting, maintaining, operating, and continuously improving IT Change Control Process including the recommendation, development, and implementation of policies, procedures and standards related to Change Control


Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent education/experience, preferably in IT or a business area discipline (i.e. accounting, business).
  • Minimum of 5 or more years of experience in business systems analysis, and involvement of drive large scale project implementations for ERP system or Applications, ideally for eCommerce.
  • Highly analytical, passion for details, capable of translating analytical insights into action.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, able to work at all levels of organizations.
  • Proven business analysis and problem solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office


Preferred Qualifications:



  • 2-4 years of industry experience.
  • Organized, accountable and meets deadlines; strong interpersonal and facilitation skills; ability to interact at all levels
  • Two years of experience managing technical projects in a complex environment.
  • Ability to accept and manage changing priorities and address issues quickly and professionally.
  • Experience within Microsoft Dynamics AX7, Dynamics CRM Online
  • Any Power BI, Business Warehouse or Reporting experience.
  • SQL experience is a plus.
