Senior Director, Digital & Information Technology Operations


Job Description


- Lead the company's North America transformation in the digital space and integrate information technology across Commercial, Value & Access, Medical and Communications functions


- Interface with Corporate IT and ensure alignment and consistency of North America digital strategy and execution at the global level


- Lead the evolution and further enhancements in the commercial information infrastructure to ensure we maximize the effectiveness of our promotional and medical affairs investments in people and technology


- Ensure the evolution and leveraging of technology between US and Canada


- Lead the IT staff and ensure we achieve best in class status in terms of capabilities and performance


Responsibilities


- Strategy and Leadership


o Create a North America Digital Strategy Leadership Group and define short and long term deliverables for the business


o Lead and evolve the direct reports in the current IT team to excel in their support of the ongoing and evolving operations.


o Ensure alignment and effective execution of the objectives of the business with regard to digital and IT projects


o Ensure we create and execute a significant and aspirational IT roadmap aligned with the business


o Coordinate and leverage the organization's resources to link and connect projects to achieve IT Roadmap. Liaise with Corporate IT to insure that corporate resources are successfully deployed to meet North America business requirements


o Contribute actively to change management processes by proposing innovative IT solutions with the validation of the Corporate IT.


o Be the single point of contact for all IT issues and functions (internally and externally)


o Work with the Corporate IT team to ensure the site benefits from Corporate solutions and is operating according to Group standard


- Tactical implementation.


o Work with senior management to develop business cases, formulate plans, estimate resources and identify timing for the local projects.


o Manage, direct and control efforts to ensure the best possible use of technology and resources for successful IT Project implementation.


o Provide regular reporting and maintain ongoing communications to senior management, stakeholders and sponsors, in addition to Corporate IT teams


- Administration


o Ensure the day to day administration of local US specific applications as well as the on-going evolution of those applications, incl but not limited to :


Aggregate Spend


CRM


Promomats


Data Aggregation and Warehouse


o Ensure adherence to Corporate policy as well as local policy


Skills & Requirements


Experience and Education


- Graduate degree in IT related field


- At least 15years' experience of implementing and running IT services within the Pharmaceutical industry. Specific IT Management experience within a Commercial affiliate an advantage


- Overall knowledge of technical infrastructure and state-of-the-art business IT systems.


- Must have excellent customer-service orientation and a high degree of professionalism


- Must be flexible, able to manage multiple tasks, and have strong attention to detail


- Ability to effectively communicate with internal and external contacts at all levels


- Excellent organizational, written and verbal communication skills a must

- -PC literacy required; MSOffice skills (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

- -Regularly required to sit for long periods of time, and occasionally stand and walk.


- -Regularly required to use hands to operate computer and other office equipment.


- -Close vision required for computer usage.


- -Occasionally required to stoop, kneel, climb and lift up to 25 pounds.


- -Ability to occasionally travel within the US and internationally


- Work independent


- Liaise on a regular basis, from weekly to monthly) with Corporate IT


- Capable to work with a dual reporting line and a remote manager


- Standard office environment without unpleasant or hazardous conditions. Work entails typical physical demands involved in office work.
