We have a 6 month renewable position for a Sr. Data Analyst with a client of ours in Cary, NC. The Senior Data Analyst is accountable for the end-to-end management of systems and data for a large, strategic program. This role is responsible for controlling and managing the data Gold Copy and developing and implementing associated data control and data analysis plans and procedures. The Senior Data Analyst will interact with a large diverse program team including senior management and will report out on progress, changes, and issues through dashboards and other executive reports. This role is integral to the successful implementation of one of our most transformational initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

- Researches and analyzes basic and complex issues surrounding the processes and systems of the program

- Understands control access and restrictions related to confidential data

- Develops and supports implementation of data control standards, processes, and procedures

- Develops and implements data analysis plans including variance analysis and reporting

- Defines and tracks against quality metrics and develops dashboards for real-time status and reporting to team and senior management

- Builds and maintains working relationships with team members, and other departments involved in the program

- Ensures communication, coordination of activities, and issue resolution amongst core team members, senior management and other stakeholders

- Educates team members on quality processes and acts as an internal quality consultant to advise or influence stakeholders

- Manages focused project recovery activities including quick situational analysis, needs assessment, and hands-on collaboration

- Performs quality audits to ensure quality standards, procedures and methodologies are being followed

- Supports established change control procedures

- Collects and analyzes data for process evaluation and improvements, and integrates them into business processes to address the needs of the business

- Makes recommendations regarding improving processes, efficiency and practices

Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills:


- 5 to 10 years related work experience in data management and analysis

- Strong information technology skills, including expert in Microsoft Excel and experience upgrading complex spreadsheets to database platforms

- High level of proficiency with other Microsoft Office applications including Word, PowerPoint, and Visio

- Strong analytical, problem-solving and organizational skills

- Ability to manage multiple priorities


- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and analytical abilities

- Familiar with quality assurance/quality control standards and processes

- Experience in investments, financial services industries

- Adept at working with a variety of functional teams
