Sr. Business Analyst- eCommerce

Business Requirement Analysis: 35%

  • Works very tightly with the internal client, ITS and other team leads during requirements creation to ensure alignment of wireframes and UX designs meet business requirements and development constraints.
  • Translates high level Business requirements to actionable stories.
  • Incorporates and creates detailed requirements, use cases, test cases and meaningful stories to meet business requirements and which supports the business vision.
  • Assists the Technology Product Director in cross functional business development and requirement reuse across all product and business spectrum.
  • Works to gain commitment from stakeholders and team members.
  • Negotiates with stakeholders under the guidance of the VP or Technical Product Director.
  • Manages requirement traceability information and track requirement status throughout the process.
  • Identifies and communicates potential process improvements to the eCommerce Solutions Sr. leadership team.
  • Is proactively working towards becoming a subject matter expert.

Product Development, QA & Testing: 35%

  • Participates in effort to acquire estimates from build teams
  • Works closely with QA team to ensure QA requirements and needs are met to allow detailed and thorough product testing can be accomplished.
  • Works with VP and Technical Product Director to manage client enhancement backlog
  • Helps manage development issues and ensuring the escalation of necessary issues to the team leads.
  • Maintains a good understanding of product vision to assure current stories are formulated in a manner to lay the most effective groundwork for future functionality.
  • Assists with coordinating successful completion of UAT.
  • Assists VP and Technical Product Director in managing milestone release schedules in cooperation with the Release Management team.
  • Assists with some QA testing as needed.

Data Analysis: 15%

  • Assess and validate integration/solutions and data integrity/quality
  • Create data mapping and data flow diagrams
  • Assess the impact of data and software changes on the current and future business

Knowledge Transfer: 15%

  • Executes proper documentation and effective knowledge transfer exists for all parties involved including development, marketing, product support, implementation and education
  • Facilitates and conducts meetings and interactions with necessary project teams.
  • Acts as the point of collaboration to assure all members of the project team stay in sync, communicate effectively and understand the current feature set, goal and future vision


  • Bachelor Degree Required, Master Degree Preferred
  • 5+ years of related experience required, 10 years of related experience preferred
  • Experience with Business analysis, User Interface Mockup creation, requirements analysis, requirements management, project management, Agile SCRUM software lifecycle required
  • Must be local to Charlotte, NC
