  • Lead engagements focused on the assessment, design, and implementation of enterprise-scale Splunk solution by building, operating, developing, and maintaining Splunk log management infrastructure.
  • Provide architecture-level design to support and operate Splunk using SIEM best practices and Splunk enterprise security.
  • Design Splunk systems to meet growth while maintaining balance between performance, stability, and agility.
  • Manage Splunk and equivalent hardware infrastructure and oversee production support both on premise and in a cloud environment.
  • Provide network engineering research, design, and requirement development activities for infrastructure, including the review and insertion of new and emerging technologies (e.g. cloud) to enhance operational effectiveness.
  • Verifies/validates systems with specific emphasis on network operations and cyber warfare tactics, techniques, and procedures focused on the threat to information networks.
  • Assesses performance using evaluation criteria and technical performance measures.
  • Prepares assessments and cyber threat profiles of current and planned products based on sophisticated testing, research, and analysis.
  • Document procedures, processes, test plans, system testing, design and program resources to write automated test scripts, or training in testing modalities.
  • Manage customer expectations, onboard data into Splunk, support projects in multi-site or clustered Splunk installations, and assist with the development of advanced reports to meet the requirements of key stakeholders.
  • Conduct research in areas driven by customer use cases, architect and support systems used to configure and deploy enterprise SIEM log management solutions, and develop automation for security tools management.
  • Develop and conducts security briefings and security education programs.
  • Establish and maintain systems, network, and security standards, procedures, architectures and other documentation, as required, in accordance with client requirements.
  • Has experience with solutions that transfer large amounts of data across both LAN and WAN connections.


  • Requires 15 years of relevant experience and/or MS/MA
  • Experience with customer interaction and onboarding, configuration, and optimization in Splunk
  • Experience with using scripting languages to automate tasks and manipulate data
  • Knowledge of enterprise logging, including application, OS, and security technology logging
  • Experience with Splunk administration, network security, and system security and supporting SIEM
  • Experience with infrastructure management and support and system administration in Windows and UNIX environments
  • Experience with security tools, including Firewall, IDS, Active Directory, Nmap, Proxy, Ansible, Swimlane
  • Knowledge of networking protocols
  • Splunk Administrator or Architect Certification Preferred
