Our client is hiring skilled Solution & Integration Architects to join their incredible team of talented technologists in Shared Tech. The Shared Tech team provides technology solutions that span the enterprise and are used across multiple lines of business and by our internal workforce. In this role, you will provide technical leadership for designing and implementing critical components of our strategies that enable primarily internal workforce across areas such as Workforce Productivity, Workforce Identity, Human Resources, Supply Chain, Service Management, Risk and Finance. You will have the opportunity to work in a variety of areas affecting many facets of the company and on solutions that impact the entire enterprise as you continue to grow your knowledge and experience.

Responsibilities:

Perform hands-on architecture and design for solutions used primarily by internal workforce

Understand current state solutions, identify improvements, options and tradeoffs, define target state solutions and propose investment roadmaps

Clearly articulate, document and sell architectural targets, recommendations and reusable patterns

Build and maintain relationships with executives, technical leaders, product owners, peer architects and other stakeholders to become a trusted advisor

Evaluate and recommend 3 rd party solutions to integrate with overall technology ecosystem

Provide technical leadership to the design, development and implementation of custom solutions through thoughtful use of modern technology

Guide deployment of applications on cloud infrastructure or 3 rd party hosted implementations (SaaS, PaaS) for high availability and resiliency

Comfortably learn and apply a wide variety of modern technologies and tools across Capital One's rapidly changing environment, including through proof of concepts as appropriate

Define, structure and plan work independently, while maintaining alignment across dynamic teams and organizations

The successful candidate will:

  • Possess excellent organizational skills and ability to multi-task, while quickly shifting context and priorities
  • Seamlessly react to changes in priorities and new requests while maintaining existing commitments
  • Demonstrate strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision making skills
  • Exhibit mastery of facilitation and influence across teams, departments and divisions

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree or Military experience

At least 7 years of experience in Software Engineering, Systems Architecture or Technology Solution design

At least 4 years of experience in application design, development or analysis

Preferred Qualifications:

At least 3 years of experience in Enterprise or Solution Architecture roles

At least 3 years of experience with Technology solutions supporting a large, diverse workforce

At least 1 years of experience with cloud implementations

SKILLS AND CERTIFICATIONS

- MUST have experience with AWS, Azure, or Google

- MUST have Java experience

- Prefer folks with the following skill set: Agile, Microservices, Large Enterprise Environment, SaaS, PaaS
