job summary:

Software Test Developer- .NET/Selenium

Developer position to progress and sustain an integration test suite for the firm's data automation program.

We look for candidates who are intellectually curious and have diverse interests and backgrounds:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher - preference for strong quantitative backgrounds
  • A demonstrated interest in the technology profession and industry
  • Self-starters who are responsible, motivated, and able to work well with others in a collaborative team environment

Responsibilities:

This individual will be part of the development team working on an enterprise scale, mission critical application. This is a hands-on role wherein the individual will work directly with team members to design and maintain integration tests, profile the application for performance, and conduct code reviews.

They will work directly with the Product Owner to enable tests creation to ensure the application is meeting business needs. Candidates should be capable of working autonomously, but also with a small team (7-10).

Specific capabilities should include automated testing, automated build and deployment, loosely coupled design, and proactive system monitoring.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Improve and maintain automated test suite that covers both API and UI (15k loc)
  • Conduct regular automated regression runs
  • Review work items for correctness and coverage
  • Maintain and review CI/CD process (DevOps)
  • Perform basic load and performance testing

Technologies:

.NET, C#, WebAPI, SQL Server, Selenium, Angular 4+, Fiddler, TeamCity, Octopus Deploy, RabbitMQ

Qualifications:

Preferred candidates will possess most or all of the following qualifications:

  • A minimum of 1-3 years as an enterprise developer
  • At least one year of software development experience on the Microsoft technology platform
  • Experience working and developing RESTful Web Services
  • Relational database programming experience, preferably with industry standard RDBMS such as SQL Server
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong motivation and ability to work in a fast paced, team-oriented environment
  • Demonstrated experience applying TDD, continuous integration, build, test and deployment automation techniques
  • Ability to work effectively in a global delivery model
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship

Nice To Have:

  • Experience in Investment Management Domain
  • Exposure to Angular 2/4
  • Experience performance profiling
  • SQL profiling/tuning knowledge
