Responsibilities

Conducts research in design, development, testing and utilization of electronic data processing software. Designs, develops, documents, tests and debugs applications software and systems that contain logical and mathematical solutions. Conducts multidisciplinary research and collaborates with equipment designers and/or hardware engineers in the planning, design, development, and utilization of electronic data processing systems for product and commercial software. Determines computer user needs; analyzes system capabilities to resolve problems on program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques and controls; prepares operating instructions; designs and develops compilers and assemblers, utility programs, and operating systems. Ensures software standards are met. Analyzes user needs and software requirements to determine feasibility of design within time and cost constraints. Confers with systems analysts, engineers, programmers and others to design system and to obtain information on project limitations and capabilities, performance requirements and interfaces. Designs, develops and modifies software systems, using scientific analysis and mathematical models to predict and measure outcomes and consequences of design. Coordinates software system installations and monitors equipment functioning to ensure specifications are met.

Duties to include:

  • Installation, configuration, management and maintenance of SharePoint 2016 farms
  • Support for SharePoint 2019 migration
  • Customer interaction to help design, and develop custom solutions

Qualifications

Candidate must possess a Top Secret/SCI Clearance

Education and Experience Required:

* 5 years of professional experience and a Bachelor of Arts/Science or equivalent degree in computer science or related area of study; without a degree, three additional years of relevant professional experience (8 years in total).

General Knowledge and Skills Required:

* Experience applying patches and cumulative updates to SharePoint and Windows Servers

* Management of SharePoint content databases, including backups and restores

* Migration of SharePoint farms from 2016 to 2016

* Tuning SharePoint to optimize performance

* Creation and customization of SharePoint workflows

* Ability to customize SharePoint via SP Designer or Visual Studio Code

* Strong working knowledge of content types and document templates

* Experience configuring SharePoint Service Applications (Managed Metadata, Search, etc)

* Strong troubleshooting skills, to include parsing and configuring ULS logs

* SQL Server Administration: Troubleshooting SQL database performance, create maintenance plans

* PowerShell scripting for SharePoint

* Experience writing technical documentation

* Excellent oral and written communication to include very high level customer engagement
