Wells Fargo views Service Asset and Configuration Management (SACM) as a cornerstone, cross functional governance and operational capability required to manage financial and technical data across the IT operating model. Additionally, an effective SACM capability is required to enable and sustain highly critical cyber security processes while meeting stringent regulatory requirements. This discipline provides an overall methodology utilizing IT Asset Management (ITAM) and Configuration Management to help understand, govern and manage the overall IT enterprise environment. This is achieved by knowing what is in the environment, how IT services are built through different applications and infrastructure, and being able to manage and control the environment effectively.

There are 4 SACM leader positions to support Asset Management (1 role) and Configuration Management (2 roles), and one SACM overarching governance role (1 role). To adequately support Configuration processes, a Configuration Mgmt position and a separate Vulnerability Management position will be posted; Vulnerability Mgmt is a subset of an overall configuration capabilities. These positions will have an enterprise-wide focus with far reaching implications to all technology asset management across the lines of business.

Vulnerability Management

Vulnerability Management Manager will provide a consistent approach to remediation processes, reporting, provide central operational support functions for enterprise level aspects of vulnerability management, including vulnerability event management, process improvement, and governance escalation. The leader in this role will function as a single point of contact for Vulnerability Management Operations across the enterprise and is responsible for establishing an operations and governance model that addresses all aspects of vulnerability management which requires a true enterprise-wide scope and the ability to execute on that scale. This position will also be accountable for both sustainment activities, as well as providing strategic thought leadership to aggressive remediation timelines to meet regulatory and internal standards and time frame commitments from within this persons scope. It will involve significant engagement of IT executives and line of business leaders, and require the ability to rationalize and negotiate through very disparate views to reach common prioritization, standards and recommendations.

Asset Management

The Asset Management Manager will have core responsibility to create operational practices to manage hardware and software technology assets. This role will lead a team to exercise a federated process across the asset owners to support the daily execution of asset operations enterprise wide. Software License Compliance is also within the scope of this team, providing integrity through the lifecycle of purchased software to ensure that we are using our purchased licenses within contract boundaries. Discovery processes and reconciliation will also be provided out of this organization. This position will also be accountable for both sustainment and maturity activities such as reporting and analysis, as well as providing strategic thought leadership to aggressive remediation timelines to meet regulatory and internal standards and time frame commitments from within this persons scope.

Configuration Management

The Configuration Management Manager will have core responsibility to create operational practices to manage the specific competencies around configuration management practices: specifically management of our 3rd party products, lifecycle mgmt., baseline and drift processes. This role will lead a team to exercise a federated process across the asset owners to support the daily execution of configurations operations enterprise wide. This position will be the business owner for the products that house our 3rd party products (e.g. TSC and FOSS) and will provide leadership around its alignment to asset SORs. This position will work heavily with all of its peers to ensure that the products are aligned correctly, are discoverable, and managed correctly end to end by the specific product owners. This position will also be accountable for both sustainment and maturity activities such as reporting and analysis, as well as providing strategic thought leadership to aggressive remediation timelines to meet regulatory and internal standards and time frame commitments from within this persons scope.

SACM Governance

SACM Process and Governance will be the domain owner for the governance arm of the SACM (Service Asset and Configuration Mgmt) EIT TOM Process area. The leader in this role will function as a single point of contact for SACM across the enterprise and is responsible for establishing a governance model that addresses all aspects of technology asset management and configuration mgmt . This position will also be accountable for both sustainment activities, as well as providing strategic thought leadership to aggressive remediation timelines to meet regulatory and internal standards and time frame commitments from within this persons scope. This position heads the establishment of asset and configuration mgmt policies, standards, processes and controls to support effective, accurate and timely technology asset management practices. It will involve significant engagement of IT executives and line of business leaders, and require the ability to rationalize and negotiate through very disparate views to reach common standards and recommendations. All of the above will require development and implementation of net-new policies, standards, processes and controls to bring to fruition with no real industry standards or guiding best practices on which to base them.



Required Qualifications

  • 12+ years of technology infrastructure experience
  • 7+ years of management experience in technology



Desired Qualifications

  • Experience managing multiple or large technology infrastructure components
  • A BS/BA degree or higher in information technology
  • Ability to influence and build relationships with LOB stakeholders, technology CIO leadership, external service providers, and architecture teams
  • Ability to manage large complex cross-matrix organization that includes: multiple business, technology and risk disciplines with direct leadership; the development of the strategy for information security; and implementation of roadmaps for the Enterprise
  • Exposure to Wells Fargo Wells Fargo Remedy Asset Management (PAC2000) application
  • Knowledge and understanding of configuration management solutions for information security and compliance controls
  • Knowledge and understanding of defining and managing information governance policies and procedures in a regulatory environment
  • Knowledge and understanding of drift management
  • Knowledge and understanding of technology software: Asset Management life cycle(s)



Other Desired Qualifications
  • Infrastructure for this position is defined as Enterprise Technology Environment.
  • Experience managing an organization of 20 + team members including subordinate senior managers and individuals.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate set and enable strategic direction with key business partners and translate complex, technical concepts so that they are clearly understood in support of sound decisions to meet business objectives.
  • Must have proven experience with establishing and managing large enterprise technology change projects.
  • Knowledge and understanding of technology software: Asset Management life cycle(s)
  • Experience with defining, setting up and the management of enterprise processes (examples are any of the processes that align to EIT TOM).
  • Proven background with understanding the Information Security and Access Management processes and working relationships with EIS.
  • Must have the ability to estimate financial impact of technical infrastructure and application alternatives.
  • Knowledge of financial models and budgeting.
  • Proven strong leadership and change management capability to provide direction to the team.
  • Proven strong matrix leadership ability to influence change in enterprise organizational teams, processes, and strong organizational savvy.
  • There are ni US domestic location restrictions for this position.



Job Expectations

  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time
