Your Role and Responsibilities
As the Senior Software Developer of the project you will be the technical expert of the Agile squad and guide the team in their development activities. You will be sought for your technical guidance and will guide and mentor the development team in their activities.

This position will report to the Development Lead for the project but will take much of your direction from the Architect of the project.

You will:
  • Understand and contribute to the architecture of the project
  • Solve technical challenges in the project
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams
  • Collaborate with component teams
  • Adhere to the quality management system related to your work, produce technical documents in support of the project as well as ensure adherence to technical standards
  • maintain awareness of the general trends within the software industry to assess when new technologies would be beneficial to the produce

Other Job Duties include:
  • Perform product development in accordance with WHIs methodology and practices
  • Software module requirement analysis, design, and test design as assigned
  • Prepare software module specifications, designs, test descriptions and estimates as assigned
  • Implement software modules and unit tests as assigned and conduct appropriate module testing
  • Conduct appropriate verification and validation activities as assigned
  • Detect, report, investigate, and fix product defects as appropriate
  • Assist with escalated customer support investigations
  • Participate in the review of product engineering artifacts (e.g., specifications, designs, test descriptions, implementations, tests, records, reports, etc)
  • Assist in the preparation and review of product, engineering, and management plans and reports (e.g., program and project plans) as required
  • Remove. Same as above Under minimal direction, prepare updates to system specifications, designs, test descriptions, hazard analysis, verification and validation test procedures, and related documentation supporting software development to known standards
  • Mentor less senior team members and peer review product artifacts including requirement specifications, design specifications, code, etc.
  • Engage actively in design and code reviews of work items completed by the team in conjunction with the Team Lead and/or architect
  • Where applicable, interface with customer(s) and WHI staff to gather product requirements, present technical aspects of the product, and understand problems with the product
  • Work effectively in collaboration with other members of the department, or with managers and staff across the organization with whom tasks must be completed
  • Participate in WHI's performance review process, including actively setting product and personal development goals and performing self-assessments
  • Pursue a program of self-development through the use of selected reading, seminars, and participation in continuing education
  • Identify and communicate possible improvements in the work process for customers and peers
  • Perform other duties as assigned by immediate supervisor or upper management
  • Team player and can adapt to fast paced environment
  • Ability to understand the end to end system workflow from multiple stakeholders perspective



Required Technical and Professional Expertise
  • 7+ years of related experience in software development.
  • Worked with the following technologies: C# / ASP.NET, Typescript, Angular JS, Node JS, JavaScript, HTML 5
  • Flexibility to work in an Agile or Iterative development model
  • Knowledge, skills, training and experience in software-intensive systems
  • Knowledge, skills, training, and experience in software requirements and design engineering skills using a well-defined disciplined engineering process or methodology
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Experience with customer interaction is highly recommended
  • Experience in Healthcare Information Systems, Electronic Medical Records, Practice Management, HL7, ANSI Standards 837/835/277/276/270/271 is highly recommended.
  • Experience with DICOM



Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
  • Unit testing and code coverage tools
  • Experience with technology like Karma, Jasmie, NUnit, OpenCover, MS SQL Server
  • Clear and effective verbal and written communication
  • Knowledge of web development technologies
  • Experience with modeling tools is highly recommended
  • Experience with imaging workflow i
  • Design pattern experience
