Senior Project Manager

We have an excellent opportunity for a Senior Project Manager for one of our Wilmington, DE clients.


Responsibilities:



  • Manages multiple projects or a single project with a high level of complexity such as cross-department stakeholders, cross-division stakeholders, or more than one geographic location.
  • Work with Accountable Executives and Solutions Engineers to define, initiate, plan, and deliver assigned projects within agreed timeline and cost baseline
  • Develop project budget, monitor project spending against the plan, and request additional funding as needed
  • Identify impacted business and technical teams, obtain SMEs from the impacted areas, and work with Solutions Engineer to define project requirements, delivery approach, and technical designs
  • Manage the Progressive Elaboration process to obtain story level estimates for project work and define project funding requirements
  • Develop a timeline for project planning and delivery, monitor progress, and ensure that conflicts are resolved in a timely manner
  • Ensure that all project work is recorded and up to date in the project delivery tool
  • Resolve post-implementation warranty issues within established schedule and ensure project closure activities are completed by defined end date
  • Identify project risk and issues, define mitigation and resolution plans, assign ownership and time frame, and follow-up on timely closure
  • Ensure that all Risks, Assumptions, Issues, Dependencies, and Decisions are documented and tracked through the project life cycle
  • Provide written and verbal weekly status reporting to Program Manager, Accountable Executive, and members of Executive Committee and Senior Leadership Team
  • Engage third party vendors as needed and work with Sourcing and Accounts Payable teams to setup master services agreements, statements of work, and purchase orders.
  • Ensure that project delivery meets stakeholder quality requirements


Decision Making and problem solving:



  • The role requires the ability to stretch existing thinking / control practices in order to meet increasing regulatory requirements, whilst also affecting organization and culture change across a large, complex and integrating technology organization.
  • Provide confidence in the completeness and integrity of client risk profile and reporting (KRIs), enabling the client Leadership Team to make informed risk & control related decisions


Qualifications:



  • 2-4 years of experience supporting Credit Risk Projects related to customer acquisition and existing customer management strategies
  • 5 or more years of experience managing Technical projects within a financial services organization
  • Strong project management skill set with the ability to work independently to define new projects and self-solve for project delivery impediments
  • Demonstrated ability to take accountability for project timelines, deliverable, budget, and delivery metrics
  • Ability to provide written and verbal status reports to senior stakeholders that provide transparency and clear escalation requests as needed
