Job Title: Sr. Project Manager

Job Description:

Looking for a senior Project Manager who will be able to manage large, complex projects aligned to a single outcome. This position will be accountable to IT and business leadership for project schedule, budget, and quality of execution/delivery. The incumbent will be responsible for project communications and will be responsible for interfacing with the business and stakeholders.


- Minimum 5 years of project management experience.

- Minimum 5 years of experience interfacing with senior-level Business and IT stakeholders.

-Bachelor's Degree or relevant work experience (Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, Accounting and/or other related fields).

- Experience creating documents/templates from scratch.

- Experience managing technical projects within a Financial Services or Retirement Services organization In depth knowledge within a regulatory environment with the ability to establish realistic development deliverables/timetables at the Business and Program levels.

- Can produce Power Point status updates/summaries for management

- Proven ability and success maintaining project costs, tracking of actuals, projecting forecasts, and reporting project financials. Strong emphasis on financial and trend analysis.

- PMP-certified

- Advanced Excel skills a must (Pivot tables, formula creation, etc.)

- Six Sigma certification a plus (Green Belt, Black Belt)

- Ability to lead a highly matrixed, cross-functional team

- Saavy business communicator who understands how to balance the needs of multiple stakeholder groups

Advanced Power Point skills a must

Excellent written communication skills

Proficient in organizing project documentation on Share Point


Manage project throughout the entire project lifecycle from inception to project closeout, including but not limited to:

Project Planning and Schedule Management

- Manages project according to scope and plan

- Creates and maintains project plans

Identifies dependencies, milestones, and critical paths

Financial Management and Analysis:

- Monitors and manages project costs

Develops and routinely reassesses project budgets to account for variances and ensure accuracy.

Communication Management:

- Manages stakeholder and project team communications

- Reviews project performance and status reports

- Consolidates reports into overall program-level reports

- Complete all reporting requirements

Risk & Issue Management:

- Identifies program level risks and issues and develops mitigation or go-to-green plans

- Resolves program level risks and issues when appropriate

- Escalates risks and issues to Executive Management as necessary

- Maintains Program Risk and Issue Log

Change Request Management:

- Updates and maintains Program Change Request Log

- Reviews and decides upon change requests

- Escalates change requests to Steering Committee as appropriate

- Updates program artifacts based on CR approvals

Integration Management:

- Identifies and manages dependencies and interdependencies between projects

- Integrates project plans across projects

- Creates Program Management Plan

Benefits Management:

- Understands and communicates project benefits/business outcomes, tying it back to the initiative and vision

- Tracks benefits realization

- Evaluates benefits achieved at each project close
