We are currently seeking a Senior Network Engineer with hands on network security, ADC, and traditional WAN/LAN experience, for our Los Angeles office. The Senior Network Engineer will have demonstrated experience leading projects, providing technical design, optimizing and troubleshooting networking technologies. The successful candidate will be a team player, able to manage their time effectively, willing to learn new technologies, mentor other staff, and work with limited supervision. In addition, the qualified candidate will work with other IT and InfoSec departments to ensure a continuous and optimal network services that meet the firm's SLA and business requirements. This position reports directly to the Director of Network Engineering & Infrastructure.

The Senior Network Engineer will be responsible for working with application owners and other IT stakeholders to build and support a scalable, optimal, and stable network. You will provide network and application design and recommendations to internal business units by collecting, documenting, and understanding business and technical requirements. The Senior Network Engineer will assist the Director of Network Engineering in providing insight and recommendations regarding the firm's technology direction in the areas of network security, network automation, and network applications, i.e. ADC, QoS, AAA, SDX, etc. It is the responsibility of the Senior Network Engineer to manage, monitor and optimize network operations to ensure real time communication systems, i.e. video conferencing. Our ideal candidate will provide knowledge transfer and mentoring to other IT members and have a willingness to complete additional tasks assigned.

responsibilities:

Experience

  • 5 years of Network Engineering experience with Cisco equipment for medium to large organizations with remote locations
  • Expert hands on knowledge of Cisco switching and routing, using NX-OS, IOS-XE, and IOS-XR.
  • Expert hands on knowledge of Palo Alto Network products
  • Strong proficiently with ADC technologies, with preference to NetScaler ADC
  • Good understanding of internal and external routing protocols, e.g. OSPF and BGP
  • Comprehensive knowledge optimizing and troubleshooting network issues that impact user's productivity, using QoS/CoS, SNMP, NetFlow, SFlow technologies.
  • Experience with Avaya VoIP preferred and/or Polycom, H.26x, H.323, etc. protocols.
  • Possess wide breath of knowledge to be able to support/design interoperability of network and Microsoft technologies, i.e. Active Directory, Windows 2012+, SQL, IIS, and Windows 10.
  • Experience with supporting Linux.
  • Experience with Riverbed WAN acceleration and Virtualization technologies preferred
  • Experience or desire to learn automation tools that utilize scripting languages and applications, such as Perl, Python, Chef, Puppet, Ansible, etc. preferred.
  • Preferred Certifications: Cisco Network Professional Level certifications, Riverbed, NetScaler, and Palo Alto Networks.
