Job Summary
This role manages the scrum process with the coordination of scrum team in Agile methodology. Helps the team or individual/s to clarify goals and actions to achieve them. Leads large teams in the delivery of software products using scrum frameworks. Evangelizes methodology that supports the integration of changing customer inputs and business conditions into software development. Guides product owner in the definition and prioritization of outcomes. Ensures the application of agile frameworks to the development process to increase effectiveness of software development. Leads daily scrum meetings, iteration reviews and maintains backlogs. Removes roadblocks to software development. Applies learnings to other development projects. May guide work of more junior scrum masters.

Job Responsibilities
  • Manages the scrum process with the coordination of scrum team in Agile methodology. Helps the team or individual/s to clarify goals and actions to achieve them.
  • Facilitates team for better creativity and tries to improve the efficiency of the development team.
  • Performs as the technical lead of the team. Performs and reviews detailed design of functionality for the current sprint. Performs code reviews.
  • Allocates resources for the sprint.
  • Removes any impediments/roadblocks for the scrum team.
  • Arranges daily stand-up meetings, facilitate meetings, schedule meetings, demo and decision-making processes in order to ensure quick inspection and proper use of adaptation process. Helps manage cross scrum team communications.
  • Helps product owner ensure the product backlogs are in good shape and ensure readiness for the next sprint.
  • Performs as a safeguard for the team, shielding from outside distractions and interferences.
  • Resolves conflicts, focusing on scrum values of openness, honesty and respect.
  • Reinforces communication within team.

Basic Qualifications

  • BachelorĂ¢€™s Degree and at least 5 years of experience working on a team that utilizes agile methodologies OR a High School Diploma/GED and at least 8 years of experience working on a team that utilizes agile methodologies.
  • Experience working with agile methodologies and frameworks, such as Scrum, Kanban, XP, etc.
  • Experience leading/coaching and managing technical teams.
  • Experience in estimation and planning.
  • Knowledge of basic fundamentals of iterative and incremental development.
  • Knowledge of other methodologies other than Agile-Scrum, such as PMP, Lean Six Sigma, Waterfall, etc.
  • Knowledge of software development processes and procedures.
  • Experience committing to product delivery and delivering the product on time.
  • Knowledge of the value of metrics and incremental delivery.
  • Knowledge of tasks, backlog tracking, burndown metrics, velocity, user stories, etc.
  • Experience with Java, Spring, Spring integration, Hibernate, Angular and Typescript.
  • Experience in indirect management of team members, including assisting in the development, training and assignment of work/projects to other team members.
  • Willing to travel up to 10% of the time for business purposes (within state and out of state).

Preferred Qualifications

  • MasterĂ¢€™s degree OR MBA.
  • Preferred certification as Certified Scrum Master (CSM) as granted by the applicable certifying body/institution.
